Chapter 625 - The day we first met (1/2)

Like a little boy, Lin Ye was pacified by her words. She said that she would cook a delicious meal exclusively for him! How could he not be happy?

Yun Xuan had finished all her work before leaving the Lin residence so she stayed to chat with him for a while.

Her phone rang. It was a reminder she had set.

”You should go back to hospital next week to have your eyes checked. Shall I make an appointment?”

Lin Ye's ears turned scarlet. He had heard her phone ring then she said this. Had she set a reminder on her phone regarding the day he should go to hospital?

Yun Xuan took a look at him and seemed to understand his sudden smile.

She felt embarrassed. ”I have always kept a calendar  and set reminders for my Feng's immunization schedule; I didn't want to forget it so....” her voice trailed off. What was she explaining?

While her words were meant to clear a misunderstanding, they in fact deepened it.

She made it sound like his health was as important to her as her son's was.

Lin Ye's heart was filled with a kind of happiness he had never experienced before. He knew that this could be considered an illusion he was creating in his mind but he wanted to enjoy it while it lasted. In fact, he didn't want her to explain the meaning of her actions.

”Will you accompany me to the hospital?” He asked in his signature pleading tone that was just too irresistible.

Yun Xuan couldn't bring herself to say no. ”Okay, I will clear my schedule. How does Monday sound?”

”Okay.” He didn't have anything to do anyway.

Yun Xuan made a note to call the hospital later. ”Then, if there's nothing else...”

”Xuanxuan, I need your help with something.”

”What is it?”

”Could you help me send some drafts to my boss? They are in my safe.” As though he knew that she would be surprised, he proceeded to explain. ”They are past drafts that I made out of boredom but are still relevant.”

Yun Xuan nodded in understanding. ”But your safe... you want me to take something from your safe?” Wasn't his level of trust too dangerous?

”There's nothing important in there.” Lin Ye explained, though the most important things were in that very safe. He just trusted her too much.

”It's in my room; on the wall on the left side of the bed. You will see it as soon as you get in. The passcode is 0315.”

”Okay.” Yun Xuan rushed up the stairs.

0315....

Why was she slightly disappointed?

Men would usually have their loved ones' birthdays as their passcodes, right? At least that was what she had seen in movies and novels.

Strangely, she had expected his passcode to be her birthday. After all, his phone's password was Yun Feng's birthday.

In the next moment, she thought of a possibility. Perhaps it was because if he had her birthday for a passcode, guessing it would be easy as pie. No one would want such an obvious password, right?

”Yun Xuan, don't be silly.” She scolded herself.

She was being childish right now. Why would she care about such a thing?

...

Meanwhile, Lin Ye held a hand over his chest and his lips curled into a silly smile.
