Chapter 590 - Lu Meilis evil mother (1/2)

Lu Meili didn't know what to say about her mother. She shouldn't be serious, right? Perhaps she was only joking around and would be back after a few meters?

Mu Zhichen heard Lu Meili's loud shout and rushed to check on her.

He was puzzled when he saw her standing there, looking dejected. Lu Aotian's car disappeared into the distance.

'Interesting.' He thought.

”What happened?” He asked her.

Lu Meili looked extremely wronged. ”Mommy simply drove off and left me here. Does she not care about me anymore? I cannot hail a cab here.”

A smile slowly creeped onto Mu Zhichen's lips. His mother-in-law was helping him out. No, to be exact, she was helping herself become a grandmother sooner.

He would be an idiot if he didn't utilize this opportunity. ”If you follow her home, she might just lock you out. You are aleady very tired. Why don't you sleep in my house tonight?”

Lu Meili tilted her head to ensure she had heard him right. ”How can you be so shameless? You want to take advantage of me although we are only engaged?” .

Mu Zhichen had an innocent expression. ”What are you thinking about? It's just sleeping. You can sleep in a different room. If you are still uncomfortable about that, I can spend the night elsewhere.”

Lu Meili realized she had overreacted. She awkwardly shook her head. ”You don't need to. Sorry, I thought too much just now.” He wouldn't blame her, right? After all, one could only think of one thing if a man invited a woman to spend the night at his house.

”Don't worry about it.” Mu Zhichen smiled.

Later, Lu Meili took a bath in Mu Zhichen's house.

Wan Jia had sent over a change of clothes.

How evil.

Only the last bit of humanity left in Wan Jia made her choose a conservative night wear.

Heaven knew she could have sent over a nightdress that wouldn't even have the right to be called that.

Heaven also knew that the conservative wear was bound to make Mu Zhichen more restless.

The girl went downstairs when she was done.

”Whitey! Brownie? I got something yummy for you.”

As though waiting for her to call for them, the cats dashed towards her and jumped onto her playfully.

Lu Meili caressed their fur lovingly and carried them to their playroom, pouring some cat food onto their bowls.

”Yummy, right?”

The cats ate to their fill before jumping onto her to play.

Lu Meili's mood was lifted. She went to the living room with the pair in her arms, petting them fondly. Nothing was more fun than playing with pets. She was intending to let them sleep beside her tonight.

Mu Zhichen watched the cute trio with a gentle expression. She looked so happy.

Before he met her, this was nothing different from a cold mansion. But after adopting two cats and making their owner his fiancée, it suddenly had the warm feeling of a home.

”Are you having fun?” He came over and sat beside her.

”Mmh.” Lu Meili cast a glance at him, becoming concious of the fact that she was spending the night at a man's house.

”You were wearing high-heeled shoes tonight. That means your ankle is alright now so are you going to resume filming?”

”Yeah. There's only a few parts remaining.”

Her heart was beating fast. Without needing anyone to tell her, she knew that her face must be scarlet.

It was already a huge deal that she was spending the night in this man's home. Did he also have to be so damn handsome?

In that moment, the official Mu Zhichen was replaced by a seductive man . He was wearing a set of blue pajamas that exposed his neck, collarbone and a sliver of his chest.

It was more taunting than if he left his whole chest bare.

His hair looked slightly damp - he wanted it to dry on its own.  His eyes were especially alluring, that deep gaze making her want to move closer to him.

He was so sexy there was no cure of it.

Like any other woman, she was drawn to his charm, almost unable to resist it.

”I.. I'll go to bed now.” She stood to flee.

But she wouldn't expect Whitey to suddenly jump at her feet at that moment. She lifted her leg to avoid stepping on it but from the sudden impact, she landed right smack on the space next to her - Mu Zhichen's lap.
