Chapter 530 - Did she find her life too long and boring? (1/2)

She had not thought that Ruoxi would try to pressure her into drinking the soup. On another note, it made her sure that there was indeed something wrong with it.

”Sis Ruoxi, how about to help me check if it's gotten cooler?” She said with an innocent smile after some time.

Ruoxi stammered. ”It... it should be alright now. I wouldn't let anything scald you, now would I?”

Lu Meili looked past her innocently. Not only would you let it scald me, you would poison me as well and blame it on Sis Katy.

”Then can you give it a taste?”

As expected, Ruoxi looked like she had been struck by thunder. It only confirmed Lu Meili's guess. She had a motive for coming to Villa number four, and it was not something good.

Though she admired her guts. How brave was she to be able to do such a thing to Lu Aotian's daughter and in Lu Aotian's house? Did she find her life too long and boring?

Ruoxi knew that if she refused to drink this soup right now, Lu Meili would realize that there was something wrong with it. She had come too far. She couldn't let anyone find out anything negative about her.

What she had put into the soup was a slow working poison. She knew already that Lu Meili would have dinner with Katy tonight.

Knowing that they would denifinitely not turn each other down, she found a way to frame Katy.

Counting the hours, the poison would start reacting tonight. If she got poisoned after having a meal with Katy Blanc, who would the blame befall?

The plan had gone this far. Was it going to be ruined in the last minute?

She looked at Lu Meili. The girl was looking at her with her innocent eyes in anticipation, as though actually waiting for her answer.

She took the bowl in both hands and squeezed her eyes shut, bringing it to her lips. She would find the antidote within a few hours. If she couldn't find it then... what was she thinking? Neil would do anything for her. He would obviously find it for her.

”Pfft...” Lu Meili burst into laughter. She didn't actually want to hurt Ruoxi. It was not yet time for that.

”Sis Ruoxi, I know you don't like any soup, but do you have to look like a lamb awaiting slaughter? Let it be.”

Ruoxi heaved a sigh of relief secretly. She wouldn't have to risk her life after all.

”I think I heard my mother calling me.” Lu Meili said and disappeared up the stairs in a flash.

Wan Jia was indeed calling her and she glared at her. ”You already know what kind of person she is by now. What are you doing, risking your life like that?”

Lu Meili laughed. ”Mom, you worry too much. Of course I wouldn't eat or drink anything that she gives me.”
