Chapter 448 - Men did not sprout out of the ground (1/2)

”My Lihua is getting married and that old Zhou  is very busy in the company lately. So when I'm not designing, I'm all bored. Why don't you and little Feng stay over for a few days?” Xia Rou suggested. She was not just trying to butter up to Yun Xuan. She was truly bored and the little boy was fun to play with.

Yun Xuan subconciously rejected it without giving it a thought. ”Sorry aunty Xia, I have to stay with mother for a while.”

Though she felt guilty. Since when was she going to stay in the Yun mansion? She was staying in a hotel suite because she did not want to stay away from her son for too long.

Xia Rou knew that it was just a false excuse but she did not expose her. She understood that people from the Yun family would not trust those from the Lin family too easily. They were not on close terms after all.

Yun Xuan saw the look of understanding on Xia Rou's face and felt strange. How weird! Wasn't Xia Rou supposed to hate her and wasn't Madam Yun supposed to hate Wan Jia? Why were these two women so strange?

”Aunty, thank you for taking good care of my baby,...” and for not hurting him. The last part was left unsaid. If she was being honest, all this while she had been scared that Xia Rou might suddenly get angry and as a result, hurt her little Feng.  Seeing him fine, well fed and cheerful, she was really grateful.

Xia Rou patted her shoulder. ”It's nothing. I just love taking care of children.”

It was not inexplicable that she had had that many kids in the past.

Something flashed in Yun Xuan's mind and she remained in a daze, trying to stop her eyes from going wide.

”Is everything fine?”

Yun Xuan shook her thoughts off. ”Yeah, I'm fine.” She had just found one more reason to testify against Yun Wei in court.

Putting the strange women and Yun Wei aside, she took advantage of Yun Feng's slumber to shop for some baby clothes and toys for him. He was growing so fast that he had outgrown some clothes before ever wearing them. It had not been long but she needed to buy new clothes. As a mother, she was happy. Her baby would grow into a man soon. She laughed at her own thoughts. There was still very many years before Yun Feng could become a man.

She looked around the shopping malls.

Because she was working very hard and earning more money than she did when she started off, she could now afford clothes from brands she couldn't afford before. She entered the capital's best baby clothes store to check out on some of them.

Today she was dressed in simple clothes, not looking wealthy at all. This was why a certain sales assistant gave her an extra glance when she took a very cute set of clothes.

”Miss, this set costs 200,000.” She said.

”I know. I saw the price tag. ” Yun Xuan answered. She should have been displeased by the sales assistant's rudeness but she was not.

When the sales assistant saw that Yun Xuan was not surprised by the price and was picking more clothes, she kept quiet. Perhaps she actually afforded it.

Yun Xuan sighed.
