Chapter 446 - Su Ling, will you marry me? (1/2)

In the car, Lin Lihua put Katy's head on her lap so the girl could continue sleeping.

In Henry Blanc's Southside villa, he had already had the servants prepare rooms for Katy and Ruoxi. It seemed like he had been prepared to take care of Katy for a long time. If they had another child, the room next to Katy's would be decorated for him.

Katy was in deep sleep, so Lin Lihua carried her to her room. She freshened up and went to her own room.

She lay on the bed and took her phone to update her mother on tonight's events. At some point though, something flashed her mind. Wan Jia and Lu Aotian were returning the next day, and so was Henry Blanc. What was that about? Were they together?

Since they did not include her, she stayed out of it.

”Aunty!” a weak knock sounded on the door followed by a weak voice.

Lin Lihua was shocked. Katy was awake?

No, that wasn't the point. Since when did Katy address her as her aunt? Forget about calling her aunt. She was almost certain that Katy had never said a single word to her. Aside from her friends and close family, Katy rarely spoke to anyone. She would only look at people with those innocent eyes. It would be correct to call her a dull child. This was her first time looking for Lin Lihua on her own.

Lin Lihua opened the door to see the girl hugging a pillow and looking pitiful. ”Aunty, can I sleep with you tonight?”

Lin Lihua's first reaction was to remember the little version of her. this was exactly how she looked all those times she clung to Xia Rou as a child.

She led Katy into the room. ”Okay.”

Katy was happy now. It was not that she was too scared to sleep on her own. She just missed her mother who had just left without saying a word, and the only person close to a mother right now was Lin Lihua. Actually, would her mother even let her sleep in her room? Lin Lihua was still a better choice.

At the same time, Little Jia was in Southside Villas too, but in Lu Shaoting's villa.

The man kissed her forehead before taking Su Ling's hand and leading her to the balcony. It was warm tonight, or else he would never allow her to be outside.

”You should rest early. We are going somewhere tomorrow.” He said.

”Where?”

”You'll know when we get there.”

”Okay, then let's go to sleep.” She dragged his hand along. She was quite sleepy.

Lu Shaoting pulled her back and held her in his arms tightly.

”What's wrong?” He had been acting strange all night.

Lu Shaoting's heart raced. ”Ahem…Su Ling, will you marry me?”

As soon as he said it, Su Ling's heart skipped a beat. ”What did you say?”

Lu Shaoting couldn't bring himself to say it again. He knew that Su Ling loved him just as much as he loved her and would never reject him, but he was still nervous.
