Chapter 426 - Since when can you cook (1/2)
It did not take long before the results were out. When Wan Jia saw the smile on the doctor's face, she more or less knew the answer.
”Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lu. Mrs. Lu is five weeks pregnant.”
Wan Jia couldn't restrain her excitement. It finally happened!
”Aotian!” She flung herself into his arms emotionally.
Lu Aotian held her gently. They were going to have another baby...
Although he did not expect it to happen this soon, it actually did.
He couldn't express his happiness enough.
Wan Jia pulled away to take the medical report.
Wait. Five weeks, just like Su Ling?
What a coïncidence.
She would have found it more coincidental if she knew that their predicted due dates were only a day and a few hours apart.
”However, Mrs. Lu, you must be more careful. You must have done heavy exercise recently, which distressed your baby. You should avoid doing all sorts of tideous exercise as much as possible.”
Wan Jia was happy even while being berated by the doctor. ”Yes, I will. Doctor, is my baby alright?”
”It should be fine. Nothing actually happened to it.”
Wan Jia smiled as her eyes teared up for some reason.
After recieving several instructions, they went back to Little Jia's room, hand in hand.
The little girl hadn't slept too much because she had slept for a long time already. She was flashing her big eyes around, probably looking for a familiar face.
The IV had been taken off and she was happy now. ”Mommy,” she smiled when she saw Wan Jia.
Wan Jia rushed over and held her hand. ”Baby, guess what?”
Lu Aotian was eager to break the news too.
Little Jia's first guess was, ”I'm being discharged soon?”
Wan Jia laughed, finding her too adorable. ”That's happening too, but something even better happened!”
Little Jia knitted her little eyebrows while in thought.
”You're going to be an elder sister.” Lu Aotian said.
Little Jia's eyes grew wide like saucers. ”No way! Daddy, you're telling the truth?”
Although she asked Lu Aotian that, she was looking at her mother, seeking confirmation.
Wan Jia nodded. ”Your dad is not lying.”
Suddenly cheerful, Little Jia stuck out a tiny palm and reached for her mother's stomach to rub it gently. When she didn't feel anything different, her tiny eyebrows raised. ”There's a brother in there?”
Finding her actions cute, Wan Jia patted her head. ”Actually, we don't know if it's a brother or a sister yet; but there really is a baby inside.”
Little Jia didn't seem to believe them. She had already thought it weird that while her second aunt was pregnant, her tummy was still so thin. Why was the same thing happening with her mother? Wasn't the belly supposed to be very big?
