Chapter 388 - President Lus home-cooked meal (1/2)
Wan Jia continued munching happily. She had tasted lots of food before. This was obviously not the tastiest but it somehow had a special feel to it, with a tiny tinge of familiarity.
”Is the chef in love?”
Lu Aotian couldn't stop himself from laughing out. ”Stop thinking about the chef and enjoy the food.”
Wan Jia finally caught on what was happening. ”Wait, you cooked it?”
Lu Aotian remained silent.
”Oh my God! Why didn't anyone tell me I'm eating food prepared by President Lu himself? I would have savored it more carefully.” His cooking skills had improved by leaps and bounds! Ever since reuniting with him, this was the first time he had cooked. How could he not tell her earlier?
Lu Aotian didn't know what to say about his silly wife. ”It's not too late. There's still a lot of food.”
”What's the use? I'm already full.” She pouted.
Lu Aotian looked at her in disapproval. ”You eat too little. How exactly is your body structured?” If she wasn't finding excuses to skip meals, she was eating too little. The only exception was when she was allowed to eat sweet food, which she would stuff herself with and make one speechless.
”I'm really full. It's not healthy to eat too much.”
”Then I'll cook for you some other day.”
”Mmh.” Happy now, she let him lead her to the main bedroom.
...
”Is there really not anything you want to say to me?” Wan Jia asked. Lu Aotian was acting really strange tonight. Evrything looked normal about him but he seemed to have something on his mind.
He wrapped his arms around her in a warm hug. ”Shaoting and I are going somewhere tomorrow. We will be gone for a week.”
Wan Jia raised her head and looked at him with a raised eyebrow, as though waiting for him to complete his statement.
”Is this really all you have to say?” She asked when he didn't seem to say anything else.
”Mmh.”
”You're not going to tell me where the two of you are going?”
He let out a sigh. ”Can I not?”
Wan Jia didn't look happy about it. ”Why are you being all so mysterious? Am I not your wife? What happened to sharing each other's burdens?”
Lu Aotian rubbed her head. ”It's not that I don't want you to share my burdens, I just don't want to tire you out.”
”It's okay if I get tired out.”
