Chapter 139 - The grand plan (1/2)
After failing to use interrogation to frame her, the Yun father and son resorted to incite the deceased's relatives. It did not even require much effort.
The relatives were already agitated to begin with, they only had to push them a little.
”The best outcome is that she gets sentenced to death. But just in case that doesn't happen, I will make sure she stays in the headlines for some time. Even if that damned Lu Aotian pulls some connections and clears her name, she'll forever be named a murderer. Everyone will shun her and she will never be accepted in society.” An evil glint flashed in Yun Jifeng's eyes as he said.
General Yun let out a spooky chuckle. ”My son is finally growing up. It seems I did not teach you for nothing.”
Yun Jifeng smirked, not knowing that one day he would have a generous amount of regret for following his father.
He thought about his mother. That woman was too stupid. She wanted to use Wan Jia to protect her own daughter? How stupid. She should take a good look at herself and see if she could give birth to a girl with that face.
Yun Jifeng did not know who Wan Jia's mother was, but he was sure that they must look alike since Wan Jia did not look anything like General Yun.
...
Southside Villas,
In the study room.
”Bro, the fish is hooked. Old Master He is planning to sue sister-in-law.”
Lu Aotian tapped his fingers on the arm rest and gave a generous smile. ”This should be their most grand plan. To send Wanwan to prison.”
Lu Shaoting silently lit a candle for the Yuns in his heart. Just how idle were the Yun father and son to try and frame his brother's woman? Were their lives too long and boring?
Sure enough, Wan Jia recieved a summon from court just three days later, she had been accused of murder. Considering the number of people involved, she would surely be given the death sentence if not proven innocent.
That night, Lu Aotian found her standing silently on the balcony with the wind swaying her long hair. She looked distressed.
He hugged her from behind and kissed her neck.”Do you not trust your man anymore?”
Wan Jia rubbed his arms that were on her tummy. ”I trust you. I'm just scared that even if I'm proven innocent, I'll have to bear the title of a suspect of murder....I can't believe my grandpa sued me.” She sighed. The second part was the most sensitive. As her grandfather, he had watched her grow up and knew her character.
Even if, just like her parents, he was hurt by the discovery years ago, even if he was grieving his only son, grandson and daughter-in-law, shouldn't he know best what her character is like? Surely he knew she was capable of doing such a thing...
But he chose to believe the false accusations..
Or perhaps, he believed she was innocent but only wanted to vent his loss...
