Chapter 98 - Jing Ye (2/2)
”I....I...” If it were not for the fact that his daugher was on the brink of death at the time, he would never fake any document even at gunpoint!
”Don't worry,” Yun Xuan interrupted. ”We won't chase you for something you were forced to do.”
After all, it was just a matter of the other party wanting to tie her down in marriage with Lu Aotian. If it were something that threatened her safety, they would definitely make things difficult for him.
”You...you won't?” He asked in disbelief.
Yun Xuan nodded. ”You just have to tell us who gave you the instructions. We just want to be sure. We definitely won't let the other party know that you told us.”
”You won't hand me over to the authorities?” He pushed his luck a little more.
”We will not. You can be rest assured.” She was just being compassionate. This man's daugher was still a teenager and had no one else to take care of her. Her illness was not completelh healed either. If she were to make him get locked up, wouldn't that be terrifying?
Seeing how genuine and kind she was, he decided to speak up. ”On that night, I recieved an anonymous email with a picture and instructions. It was your picture.” The man did not know that Yun Xuan was not the woman in the picture. ”They told me that you would come to submit divorce papers in the morning; I should give you a fake certificate and they would send a kidney donor for my daugher. True to their word, they sent a donor. They never sent any money and simply paid for her hospital bills and even left extra money for upkeep at the hospital.”
Yun Xuan felt it was strange. That did not explain why he left the city.
”And why did you quit your job and leave the city?”
”I....I felt my daughter needed a place to recuperate and the money they left was a lot so I found a better place.”
Tyler's expression darkened. ”I recorded everything just now. If you won't say everything, then...”
”I'll talk! I'll talk!
Later when my daughter had already completed surgery, they sent me another email telling me to leave the city and never go back to the capital. They deposited a huge sum of money into my account. I suppose they thought I would reveal what I did if you...” he looked at Yun Xuan...”came and interrogated me about it.”
He knew he was risking his life by telling them but did he have a choice?
”That does sound like General Yun's way of doing things.” Tyler muttered inaudibly.
”I want the anonymous emails and account number used to send the money.” Tyler said.
The man complied and quickly brought his laptop over.
Tyler skimmed his eyes over the account number and took out his own laptop to transfer the content. He had brought it for such situations.
After typing a series of codes on his laptop, he looked at the screen and smirked. Just as he expected...
