Chapter 32 - King of hell (1/2)

Wan Jia looked at his disappearing back. Although she felt bad that he had stormed off on her, who could she blame? She was the one at fault and he had only acted like any normal person would. She had hurt him too much this time.

Perhaps if she apologized he would change his mind? Who was she kidding? Even she herself wouldn't forgive herself if she were him. She went to her room in tears and started packing her things. She only packed those she had bought herself and left those Lu Aotian had bought for her. They were too luxurious.

She wiped away her tears and was just about to open the door when it was opened from outside.

She looked up at the icy cold face. She could swear that he looked scary enough to give her two months worth of nightmares. Before this, she had always laughed at other people who encountered his scary side when they messed up his business. Was this karma coming back at her too soon?

Wan Jia even dared to think that if he wasn't looking that scary, she would dare to think that he had changed his mind.

”Why are you still here?” As if the face wasn't cold enough, his voice sounded like the King of Hell calling out her sins one by one just before passing eternal judgement on her. She looked down, not daring to look into those scary eyes.

”Do you want me to ask a second time?” He sounded even colder this time.

”I... I was just leaving.” her voice was just as shaky as her body.

Yet she made an extremely bold move.

”C-Can I say goodbye to Little Jia?”

”No.”

”Oh...” As expected. He wasn't going to trust her around his daughter for even one second again. Besides, the little girl would obviously cry if she said that she was leaving and the last thing he probably wanted to see was his precious princess' tears. Of course her tears was just one thing. She would also insist to have her mother stay and he was totally powerless against her.

That little girl could exaggerate her sadness so much that no single person would hesitate to give her all the nations in the world if she wanted them.

He suddenly took her hand while she was still engrossed in her thoughts. Before her fogged brain could even register what was going on, he released the bag from her hand and dragged her behind him.

Wan Jia ”....”

What's going on? As if irritated that she was walking too slowly, he turned around and lifted her onto his shoulder.

Wan Jia ”....” You should at least give a warning before carrying people off like that, ok?

This was much different from how he used to carry her off when they were together. Wan Jia scolded herself for even thinking about such a happy memory at this time but she continued to remember it anyway.

From the first time he ever carried her, he would always sweep her off the floor every time he saw her. It didn't matter whether she was in the kitchen, study room, garden, balcony or even bathroom.
