Chapter 53 (1/2)

“Thank you so much for reminding us,” said Zhao Meng sincerely as she stood up and finally regained her senses.

Cheng Nuo smiled and waved his hand. “It’s nothing much, just please don’t do a mass dance again.”

“Definitely.” Zhao Meng nodded.

After understanding the danger, even if Zhao Meng was paid to do that in the future, she would never risk her own life.

After Zhao Meng and Cheng Nuo chatted, Zhao Meng and her friends left the glass bridge cautiously as if they were afraid that the bridge would collapse like the bridge in the video.

Cheng Nuo shook his head and smiled. Then he signalled for the rest of the people from class 18 to get onto the bridge.

“Cheng Nuo, what were you talking about with the girls?” asked Su Xiaoxiao curiously as she walked to Cheng Nuo.

Cheng Nuo shook his hand. “Nothing much.”

It was too complicated for Cheng Nuo to explain, so he might as well not.

Su Xiaoxiao blinked and her tone became mysterious. “Could it be… Were you flirting?”

“Miss, what are you talking about?” Cheng Nuo rubbed Su Xiaoxiao’s head and said, “I just saved their lives. It’s fine if you don’t praise me for that, but don’t you dare to accuse me! I am not like that!”

Su Xiaoxiao tidied her hair that was messed up by Cheng Nuo while pouting and staring at Cheng Nuo. She wanted to talk back, but Cheng Nuo cut her off.

“Let’s go. Otherwise, we may not be able to catch up with the rest of the group.”

Cheng Nuo took a look and saw that the rest of the group had already reached the center of the glass bridge. Then he rushed over with Su Xiaoxiao.

The glass bridge was a famous attraction of the Giant Rock Peak for its reasons.

Looking down on the glass bridge, the transparent glass showed the rocks and lakes under the mountain. The greenery and the crowd in the mountains created a beautiful scenery. Looking up, one could see the blue sky with several white clouds. Feeling the gentle breeze blowing on one’s shirt and ruffling one’s hair, one would feel as though their heart was cleansed and as though they were in heaven.

Cheng Nuo and the rest stayed on the glass bridge for a long time. Then they finally continued making their way up despite the unwillingness of a few girls. At 1 PM, they reached an altitude of 800 meters. There was a rather big rest area at that altitude. It was also the only cable car route in the Giant Rock Peak.

Some tourists who did not have the stamina to continue climbing up the mountain but still wanted to head to the peak would spend money to take the cable car up 300 more meters.

The rest area was very big. It was about the size of two or three basketball courts.

Apart from having one-fifth of the area dedicated for the cable cars, the rest of the area was bustling with activity like a market.

Although it was already at an altitude of 800 meters, these vendors still made their way up to earn money!

Cheng Nuo took a look. Most of the vendors were selling food. Only a few of them were selling souvenirs or were game booths.

Although the things across the stalls were different, they shared a common similarity—they were expensive! It was so expensive that it was unimaginable!

A bottle of mineral water which cost only 1 Yuan normally was sold at 5 Yuan there!

Cup noodles, which were sold normally at 3 to 4 Yuan, were sold at 20 Yuan there! Moreover, one had to pay extra for hot water.

A bowl of mutton soup with two buns cost less than 20 Yuan normally but was sold at 70 Yuan there!
