Chapter 2 - Preparing for Divorce

”I won't.” Yan Luoxi continued to smile gently.

Yan Jiming's cold smile froze on his face. He clearly knew that they were ridiculing each other, but every time when Yan Luoxi's mask shattered, he would always get impatient first.

”Get out, hurry up and prepare for the divorce, and move.”

Yan Luoxi did not speak further, and turned to leave.

Gritting her teeth, the entire journey back to the Yan Clan, the Yan Clan did not wait for her to start their banquet. Yan Luoxi carried a bowl of rice to herself and sat down. She thought to herself, what's the point of sitting down?

”Yo, Miss Diplomat is back!” Yan Luoxi had only taken two mouthfuls when Third Aunt came over with a face full of mockery. She even intentionally gave her a bowl of fatty meat to eat as well, and the drool on the tip of her chopsticks made her nauseous.

”Mom, why do you sound so nice? A diplomat?”

Yan Luoxi did not say anything, but her cousin did not say anything. ”It's just a marriage tool, and a diplomat at that.

”I was just giving her some face. It's a rhetorical skill, do you understand?” Third Aunt rolled her eyes at her son, but the corners of her mouth lifted.

”Hur hur, Third Aunt knows how to use rhetoric.” Yan Luoxi picked up a fish with her chopsticks, ”I am just a tool for marriage, but there are some people who aren't even qualified to be a tool. They are already in their thirties and can't even find a girlfriend. I have to find a blind old lady! ”

”You … How can you say that! ” Third Aunt's face was red from anger, but before she could continue, Yan Luoxi stood up, ”The tools are full, continue eating trash.”

”Who are you calling trash!”

Yan Luoxi quickened her pace and slammed her own door as her cousin's chopsticks were thrown behind her.

”What did he tell you? ”New quest?”

It was already very late when he returned to her and Yan Jiming's villa. Yan Jiming was sitting on the sofa looking at the report, raising his head and glancing at Yan Luoxi. He always seemed to think of Yan Luoxi as a spy around him, and would come back for a new mission every time he returned home.

”No task, just chitchat.” The corner of Yan Luoxi's mouth twitched, and she disrespectfully replied with a smile that belonged to Madam Yan. ”Said I was some sort of marriage tool or something.”

”Oh, looks like your family members are quite clear-headed.” No emotions could be heard from Yan Jiming's voice, ”It's good to know that you're a tool for marriage, if not, it'll be troublesome if you get divorced in a few days.”

”Well, of course, everyone knows that.” Yan Luoxi felt like she was a split person, her tone haughty as she moved up, her heart falling down in disappointment.

Yes, she was a tool.

She could endure his drink-roughness, but she could not endure the words he had spoken when he was awake, stabbing into her like a knife.

Yan Luoxi walked back to her bedroom and took out a pink bound book from the bedside table.

Flip to the last page.

The only page that was still empty.

She had naively thought that she could endure Yan Jiming's bad temper for her entire life, as well as unintentionally harming him. But then he hurt her too much, and she was beginning to lose heart. At that time, she had found this notebook. This notebook had exactly 100 pages, and she thought that if she could endure it any longer, she would endure it a hundred more times!

Just treat it as the privilege she gave him, and allow him to hurt her a hundred times over! After a hundred times, she would completely let him go.

Her slender white fingers brushed the ”100” on the page, then she picked up the pen and wrote the date on the top.

She tried to choose a word to describe how she felt, as usual, but there were only two words.

Goodbye.

Goodbye, Yan Jiming.

In between, there were two pages that were separated by three months. At that time, Yan Luoxi still naively thought that their relationship had eased a little and that this book would not be completely memorized. Only later on did she remember that in those three months, Yan Jiming had been away on a business trip, and the two of them barely said anything.
