Qi Qi forced herself to calm down and wiped the tears off her face. Before Grandpa Miao and Granny Miao could stop her, she had already ran out of the house and ran towards Miao Yuqi's. She wanted to ask her what had offended her and why she was slandering her.
But when Qi Qi arrived at Miao's house, she hid in her room and refused to come out. The doorbell rang for more than ten minutes, but she pretended not to hear it. Qi Qi knew that she was definitely at home, and if the doorbell didn't work, she would smash it with her hand, kick it, and make a ruckus.
Before she could even ask, Miao Yuqi had already started crying. She sat down on the ground with a wronged look on her face as she cried, ”Qi Qi Qi, you really make me heartbroken. How could you be so ungrateful? Second uncle and second aunt worked so hard to make money for you to study abroad. It's fine if you don't study, but you were also sent abroad every day. You advised me not to listen, and that's why I let you talk to me properly. But who would have thought that not only did you not listen, you even came to scold me.”
Qi Qi Qi was so shocked that she couldn't say a word. She looked around and saw these strangers surrounding her, pointing at her and feeling a rush of blood, the world spinning around her, and she almost fell down. At this moment, she finally believed that people would die from anger.
In a fit of rage, Qi Qi Qi's mind went blank as she rushed forward and started hitting Miao Yuqi head on the head. But she was just an eighteen year old girl, how could she be a mom's opponent? She was pressed down under Miao Yuqi's body and couldn't move even after a few hits.
Miao Yuqi flung her arms away as she sent a slap towards Qi Qi Qi, grumbling, ”You're so shameless and disrespectful! I'm at least 9 years older than you and your cousin. How dare you hit me! Today, I'll teach you how to be a good person on behalf of your parents!”
Qi Qi Qi was injured countless times, and the surrounding people kept pointing and pointing at them, but no one came up to stop them.
In the end, it was Mr and Mrs Miao who rushed over after hearing the news and forcefully pushed the two of them away.
They were also infuriated, but they had no evidence to prove their daughter's innocence. They couldn't possibly let their daughter go to the hospital to have a virgin proof, and even if they did, no one would be able to control the public's opinions. They couldn't guarantee that others would say that they were artificially guilty of using such proof.
Mother Miao was so angry that she wanted to chase after Miao Yuqi and teach her a lesson. She wanted to ask this niece of hers just what had offended her in the end. Why did she want to create such a rumor?
However, years of education and reason had stopped her. Now that this matter had stirred up such an uproar, if she came knocking again, it would only make it even more of a joke, and then, Qi Qi Qi's reputation would really be ruined.
Mr Miao could not hold his old man accountable for his mischievous ways of teaching his daughter, much less scold a junior into swearing. There was no need to mention how aggrieved he was.
He sat alone in the living room, listening to his wife comforting her crying daughter. For the whole night, the family of three didn't sleep at all.
In the past, it would never have happened. Before he left, Mr Miao told his family in front of them, ”My daughter has not done anything shameful. I know in my heart that I will not pursue this matter today, not because I feel guilty, but because I am still thinking about our family's love.”
It was only then that he continued in a clear voice, ”Yu Qi, Second Uncle doesn't feel sorry for you. I don't understand why you chose to hurt Seventh Uncle twice, but Second Uncle finally told you that this is the last time I will tolerate such a thing happening to you. When that happens, we'll meet in court, and at that time, don't blame me for not caring about our relatives.
Uncle Miao's face turned red from what his younger brother had said, but he didn't know how to apologize. He knew his daughter best, and he could guess why his own daughter kept going against Cousin Qi over and over again. But at this point, his second brother had already separated from him. It was useless for him to explain.
Thus, Uncle Miao just lowered his head and continued to smoke his cigarette.
After her daughter had been warned like this, even though she knew she was in the wrong, Uncle Miao's wife still felt that she had been bullied.
The corner of her mouth twisted, letting out a snort from her nose, ”Don't be so righteous, only she knows what that girl Qi Qi has done abroad. You're all in the country, you know nothing, we, Yu Qi, taught our cousin out of good intentions, but we didn't expect her to be raked over.”
A hint of embarrassment and anger flashed across Uncle Miao's face when he heard this. He slammed his hand heavily on the table and shouted in a deep voice, ”Enough! Do you have the right to speak here?” If you're too free, go to the kitchen and cook. ”
Although Uncle Miao usually didn't talk much in the family, Miao Yuqi and her mother were still afraid of him putting on the airs of a family head.
Miao Yuqi pulled her mother's hand and signaled her with her eyes. It was best for her to hurry up and leave.
Mr and Mrs Miao watched the duo's behavior with cold eyes. They did not say anything, but their expressions were extremely unsightly.
