Mei Hong went to that place first. Looking at the surroundings, she realized that it was actually a small restaurant downtown.

She had always thought that the drug trade should take place in empty abandoned factories and such, instead of downtown, why did she choose such a place? But then she thought that it was also correct to choose this place because of the safety of the people. With so many people, the police or the army wouldn't be able to attack them recklessly, so the criminals had time to escape.

Mei Hong found a small room in a small restaurant and stayed there. The door was slightly ajar and she just stood there with her ear pressed against the door, listening to the noises coming from outside. She didn't dare to keep staring at the door, afraid that someone would notice her.

After waiting for a few hours, the waiters in the restaurant had almost forgotten that there were still guests in the private room. Only then did two groups of people come in from outside the restaurant, and when the waiters saw these two groups of people, they signalled to the waiters outside to recruit customers and glanced at the scattered customers sitting in the main hall, only then did they lead the two groups to the private rooms on the second floor.

Mei Hong realized this unusual situation in time. As she was about to go upstairs to take a look, she saw four people sitting at a table outside the door. The people sitting near the table and the other guests in the hall were whispering to each other.

Mei Hong guessed that these people were probably plainclothes policemen or something like that. They were trying to evacuate the crowd, so she definitely couldn't show up at this time. Once she appeared, she would be evacuated.

Thinking up to here, Mei Hong looked back at the box and found that the only place where people could hide was under the table. The long tablecloth was hanging down, just enough to obstruct other people's line of sight.

As soon as she hid, she could see through the gap under the tablecloth that the door had been pushed open from the outside. Soon after, a pair of black leather shoes appeared in her line of sight, and the owner of the feet went out again after discovering that there was no one there. However, when she went out, the door was not casually closed, and Mei Hong was afraid that she would be exposed if she went out, so she had no choice but to hide under the table and peek at the bottom of the crack, secretly observing the situation outside.

While they were waiting, Mei Hong saw with her own eyes that a lot of people had quietly come out of nowhere. Without making any sound, they controlled all the waiters at the entrance and in the restaurant and brought them outside.

From start to finish, the boss of the restaurant had never shown his face. Mei Hong guessed that the boss was probably making a deal with someone upstairs.

After a while, Mei Hong saw many pairs of combat boots moving around the restaurant at a rapid pace without making any sound.

Only someone who had gone through long term training would be able to be so nimble like this. Fang Zhijun must already be there, Mei Hong shook her head and paid more attention to what was happening outside, even secretly lifting a corner of the tablecloth to see if Fang Zhijun was in danger.

Very quickly, Mei Hong heard the sound of tables falling and various messy footsteps coming from upstairs. She could not help but be startled, knowing that the fight had already started upstairs.

However, as the saying goes, wealth comes from danger. After leaving Fang Zhijun's side in her last life, she had experienced all sorts of hardships, and compared to that time when her mind and body were being tortured, this kind of fear was nothing today. Furthermore, she knew that with so many people in the army, even if something happened to her, her life would not be in danger.

As the noise from upstairs became louder and louder, the sound of fighting and even some gunshots came from the stairs.

Mei Hong didn't expect to get a gun in a restaurant. With a shake of her hand, the tablecloth fell off, and she couldn't help but shrink back into the restaurant.

Before she could pull away the tablecloth again, she heard footsteps at the door of the private box, and the sound of people approaching.

”Wang Qiang, don't try to resist anymore. The outside world is already surrounded by us. It's better that you surrender.”

”Humph!” Impossible!? Then will I still be alive? What I did today is enough for me to eat a dozen or so guns. Surrender is death, if I don't surrender I still have a chance to live.

The person called Wang Qiang evidently did not believe the words of the police. He began to laugh mockingly and ruthlessly as he refuted them.

A few minutes after the conversation ended, Mei Hong did not hear anything else. She could not help but mutter to herself, ”What is going on outside?” Why was it quiet?

Out of curiosity, and worried that she would miss the moment when Fang Zhijun appeared, Mei Hong gathered up his courage and slightly lifted up a corner of the tablecloth.

But as soon as she lifted the tablecloth, she met the eyes of the person standing in the doorway.

The member of the special forces standing at the door raised his gun with both hands, while his eyebrows slightly knitted under his helmet. How was there still someone? Didn't they already clear the stage?
