With regards to the matter of his mother's body, Ling Xiaosu naturally did not dare to slight her and nodded in agreement, ”I'll listen to you.”

”Mm, go to the front desk to pay your medical fees.” The doctor left.

It was just an emergency and Ling Xiaosu still hadn't paid the medical fees. When he walked to the delivery area in the hall, he realized that he didn't have any money on him, not even his phone.

That was awkward.

She was prepared to go back to get the money, but when she turned around, she saw a figure of a heaven defying official on the other side of the hall. Although she could only see the silhouette of his back, she was sure that he was a heaven defying official.

Without thinking too much about it, she caught up with him. Just as the elevator door was about to close, she pressed the open button.

The door opened, and indeed, the heaven defying official was inside. When Ling Xiaosu saw him, she immediately calmed down. She called out to him, ”heaven defying official.”

When the heaven defying official saw her, he was slightly surprised. He lowered his head and instructed his secretary to go upstairs while he stepped out of the elevator.

”What's wrong? Why are you in the hospital? ” he whispered.

”My mother was injured and came to the hospital for an examination, but I did.” Ling Xiaosu bit her lips and raised her head to look at him, ”I forgot to bring the money. Can you help me place the money first? I'll return it to you later.”

With one hand in his pocket, he did not ask any further, ”Let's go.”

Ling Xiaosu walked beside him and paid his medical fees. Ling Xiaosu held the list and said, ”Thank you. I'll go look for my mother. You can do your own stuff.” She didn't want to take up too much of his time.

”A word of thanks sent me away.” The heaven defying official's voice was low, as if he was in no hurry.

”Ah!” Ling Xiaosu didn't know what he wanted to say, ”What do we do then?”

”Think for yourself.” With that, he turned around and left.

Ling Xiaosu looked at his slender back as he disappeared from her sight. He had just said, ”What do you think? How can she thank him?”

Well, she should thank him.

Mother Ling sat on the sickbed, the injury on her forehead was somewhat painful. The moment she saw Ling Xiaosu, she immediately smiled, ”Xiaoxiao.”

”Mom, I'm sorry. You were injured.” Ling Xiaosu sat down on the bed and gently caressed the white cloth wrapped around her forehead.

”What are you apologizing for? You're my daughter, so it's only right that I protect you.” Mother Ling grabbed her hand and patted it gently. ”Xiaoxiao, I'm fine. Don't worry.”

Ling Xiaosu nodded her head hurriedly. Her eyes were a little sore as she hugged her mother without letting go.

Her mother was the person who treated her the best in the world. She could not let her heart be hurt. She had to quickly become strong in order to ensure her safety. He wouldn't be bullied like he was today.

Ling Xiaosu stayed in the hospital for one or two days. Only after her mother left the hospital did she have time to busy herself with the script.

The destruction of the original script was something that Ling Xiaosu had mentioned to the heaven defying official. He did not blame her, and so he gave her another copy and personally sent it over to her.

Ling Xiaosu felt rather bad and told one of her bosses to deliver the script to her, so she gave him back the money she borrowed from the hospital that day.

The heaven defying official did not answer, but looked at her with a serious look in his eyes, ”Have you decided what you wanted to do that day?”
