40 The Evil (2/2)

The demon whale lurched out of the smoke from the altar and swam through the air to swallow the woman, while she tried to run away.

It swallowed her whole. It took her life. The whale bellowed. It cried. It circled about in the air before returning to the smoke.

It said, ”Leo is in a city by the ocean.”

”That's it?” Harumi said, ”That's all you'll give me!”

”Blackcloths are résistant to death in hell,” the demon said, ”And besides, Hell seeks your life for your many misdeeds and wrongdoings. You will fetch a higher price than a Blackcloth.”

Harumi kicked the altar, and the demon faded away. Harumi left the altar near the city, and when he looked back one last time, he smirked as he thought to himself, 'No matter, it's only a medium sized coast. I'll send our new creations to destroy each and every city in the coast within thirty kilometers of Ahab's city.'

He cast a void spell to summon the women, the victims of Harumi's experiments. And suddenly a group of figures with demon scales protruding out from their bodies appeared. They were all women, just as Harumi had told King Brimstone, and they all were suffering from the modifications made to their bodies. In total there were ten thousand. He thought, 'the supreme fairy hasn't appeared yet, Though each were infused with the power of a snake demon.... but it will appear soon with them all gathered.'

He looked and said, ”start from the cities closest to Ahab's city. Destroy until you've found Leo Lionsmane.”

He took out a old wanted sign with Leo's face on it and said, ”Go! And Kill!”

The women disappeared into smoke as they scattered towards the coast.

And so, Harumi walked over to his horse and rode away after the latest in demon experimentation went to kill.
