22 Chapter 20 The Scroll (1/2)

Inside the E.I.M.D building's library a man is currently relaxing with a novel in his hand.

He was reading the said novel when a part of the bookcase where the scroll about tamamo-no-mae's myth had been placed after the last time that he took a look at it...

Did it reveal something again...?

He hurridly took the aforementioned scroll which was kept inside of a secure box to protect it from the elements from the said bookcase and opened it.

He guessed right... The scroll didreveal some more text like it was some kind of game unlockable from a game that has mythological creatures along with characters from legends from around the world.

A beam of golden light shined upwards from the scroll while the front of it faced the ceiling of the huge and dusty-looking room library.

I see... Now I understand... It updates whenever Yui gets stronger...

He started to read the new paragraph that was added to the old-looking scroll, almost old enough to start coming apart as he held it with his barehands.

A light knock was heard from the only door in that room that could be used to come in or come out, there were also other doors but the room behind each of those are just additional storage for the books, scrolls, and othee important things that needs to be hidden away from the prying eyes of the public.

”Come in.”

He answered putting the scroll back to where he got it from with it inside it's secure case that looks like a box that you can put futomaki in.

”There been reports that the twin Rika and Aoi have ben brainwashed by the people that kidnapped them.”

Kuro reported slowly closing the door behind her.

Back at the residential area where Miku and Rika are currently fighting each other...

Miku clung on to her right arm which had been broken by Rika while they fought.

She heard the sound of someone using a teleportation behind her which made her take her eyes of the currently brainwashe Rika who was already badly hurt by Miku...

”Mentor!”

The girl with silver hair and blue eyes stood behind her, with a talisman in her hand a magic circle appeared underneath the feet of Rika who had been glaring at the two ever since Miku let her out of her sight.

The purple-haired girl collapsed as she had been exhausted from buying time until backup came.

”H-Hey... Are you all right...?”

Yui quickly caught Miku's exhausted body as she was just about to hit the roof tiles of the roof that they were on.

”Impossible... No, It isn't true! How can Tamamo-no-Mae have a descendant?!”

Rika exclaimed with a voice that sounded like it was someone elses.

Is she possesed by something...?

Yui looked towards where the now tied up Rika was not being able to move.

”And who might you be?”

Yui inquired letting only one of her hands hold up the unconscious oni and have the other have a fox flame appear on it as to intimidate whoever's possesing the cat humanoid.
