Chapter 62: So close! (1/2)
”Since when do those cunts drop potions?” The mage with vulgar tongue reacted to the potion in one of the expected ways. His friends voiced their opinions as well.
For them, The Ice Yeti must've eaten this potion a long time ago, ”An old yeti... This one should've given us a lot of EXP! Check logs.” To become named NPC, the monster also could hold onto his life for a long time. It would then become named NPC by giving itself a name.
Of course, it was hard to tell how much time would be needed for such a phenomenon. But monsters that survived some time after their 'respawn' would give much more EXP than usual.
If those players actually checked their logs, they would've noticed that something fishy was going on.
However, they were short on stuff and free potion had too much allure. They split the potion and already gulped it down!
The man who was like the embodiment of the fire spoke in the usual, vulgar tone, ”We have spent more than five months here. Let's just see whether we can get more potions. If not, then I am done with this quest.”
”We can still level up smoothly. As long as we keep our formation and keep an eye on yetis' movements, we can reduce our demand for consumables.” That was true! This snow land was a good leveling ground for fire and ice mages.
Any player would find himself here as long as they possessed good equipment. Tanks needed shields and armors with fire attributes while mages of fire and ice type would probably cope well with the aforementioned class.
Tank and mages would have a good time here, but all classes would strive here if equipped well.
The party had the strongest tank and mages, but they wouldn't survive five months without a healer.
This healer spoke up, ”What about monkeys?”
”Don't make me remember this cunt!” The fire mage stood up, his hand swept before him as he added, ”If I see him, I will go all out!” Because of Michu, the party lost much more consumable stuff because they simply went against more monsters than usual!
He seethed with anger and no one bothered to remind him about his abundant profanities. To his words, everyone had agreed wholeheartedly! The monkey had to be punished! Everyone was fighting here on the line, spent months and months in this Impossible Quest, then some monkey dared to play around?!
”That player is a monkey too! Is he one of those fucking role-players?” The fire mage questioned.
The role-players were people that were hiding their real selves behind some kind of act. Funnily enough, a lot of players also said that in this game, everyone could be their real selves, thus, role-playing as well.
People who were into that at an obsessive level were the most annoying pricks to deal with, though. They would follow the script until the very end and their decision wouldn't change despite everyone else proving them wrong.
Such people were... the worst and the fire mage had met some of them already.
His anger billowed. He drank more of his potions and even took some ale to quench his kindled indignation.
The party stopped any talks and silently regenerated their time here. Each of them had various thoughts coursing through them, but all of those ended when one of them abruptly fell to the side!
”W-what? What happened?!” The closest player reacted instantly.
