39 CHAPTER 39: Fall of the Kingdom!? (1/2)
The next day, Zeran and Ru were now done proving their succulent love for each other. They were now dressed in their majestic signature clothing and they were standing upright ready to depart. Not only that, Ru was covering herself with her full fledged cloak. Though, Zeran noticed that her clothes were ruined beyond repair, so it made him to feel a bit worried. Ru noticed his worry for her, so she knacked out a confident smile esteemed of an elegant Goddess. She brushed her clothes with her flawless hands and snapped her fingers up high. Suddenly, glittering dusty lavander lights encroached around her. Her clothes looked brand new without any sign of having any damage at all, as the lights swirled around her body. More than that, her wounds and scars all around her body had disappeared aswell. Zeran was amazed, as he saw her dazzling stunt. Then, Ru grabbed some kind of camera from an advanced world at the corner that says ”Fae's” in its body. Ru grabbed it in a snap and she wore an interested sinister smile on her face, as she had a nice idea in her mind. Soon, Zeran offered his hand to Ru, such as he was a formal prince inviting a princess to dance at the ball. Ru was astunned by his elegant manner, making her to blush and touch her lips with her lady-like fingers. Soon enough, she took his offer and gave out her hand. As soon as Zeran felt her hand, he grabbed her hand. He pulled her hand up high and twisted it such as he was waltzing her in an unsuspecting way, turning Ru to move her body in the jive with a surprised look and fall from her balance. Though, he caught the twisting princess from her back. Suddenly, he lifted her like she was a princess on his strong arms, making her to feel more embarrassed and flustered than ever before. Her face was steaming like a red hot tomato while she was covering her face, although Zeran didn't mind Ru's reaction. A little while later, they had left the dungeon. Afterwards, they got out of the castle and they walked outside. Lots of citizens noticed that their former king Zeran was carrying the dark Goddess Ru like she was a charming princess. As expected, the citizens were shocked, although their very looks were even more horrified, since Ru was holding the fresh decapitated head of Queen Fae's. Soon, murmurs and scarring revelations were heard through their worried mouths,
”Is that the Queen's head?!”,
”No...this can't be...and she was killed by the former king?!”,
”And is that the evil Goddess in his arms?”,
”Did he conspired with the evil Goddess to overthrow HIS FORMER WIFE?!”,
”HOLY GODDESS ANGEHIME! HAVE YOU FORSAKEN US?!”,
”WHAT WILL BECOME OF OUR KINGDOM?!”,
The remaining knights weren't taking any aggressive action but, they were all protecting the helpless citizens, since the knights were still wary of the two. Zeran just sighed and didn't look-like a horrifying villain. He just continued to tread along the stoned paths while he was lifting his princess. Though, he still says with a stressed look to Ru,
”Say Ru...why'd you have to bring the b*tch's head?”.
Ru wasn't embarrassed anymore, as she replies like an innocent girl,
”Well Zera, it's to taunt away some people especially the castle guards and knights alike, from us coming out...”.
He comments back,
”But they aren't the only ones who are afraid...”
”Really Ru...”
”Out of the weirdest things you've done...by far, this is the weirdest one...”.
Ru wasn't sad, as she heard his depressing comment. Instead, she felt glad and her ears twitched with excitement. Then, she replies back like a thankful maiden filled with sweetness, while her tail was wagging,
”Ara? Really Zera? Thanks for the compliment...”.
She gave him a sneaky smooch on his cheek afterwards. The citizens weren't happy and they were even more scarred throughout their lives on what they have seen through their eyes, since they were seeing the loving couple, as the villains of the said story somehow. Soon, Zeran says to her with a subtle embarrassed look, since they were displaying some kind of public display of affection,
”Geez Ru...we're in the public...”.
Though, he was wearing a relieved smile when he received her kiss such as he received points of praise from his weird princess or Goddess. Ru just giggled after she heard his cautious words. She looked at the li'l girl who was cowering in fear behind her mother's back. Ru knacked out an evangelizing smile that wasn't filled with any kind of sinistry of an evil Goddess yet instead, her smile was somehow you'd expect from a holy/light Goddess that would soothe anyone's heart. The li'l girl noticed Ru's radiant smile. Soon, the li'l girl wasn't scared anymore and looked fascinated by the Goddess Ru, without any hint of mind-control or anything evil. Ru turned to look at her chivalrous Zeran and asks,
”Oh yeah and Zera...how long until we get to the plaza?”.
Zeran replies,
”Just a little longer...”.
Though, his thoughts were deeper in sense,
(”Yeah...Ru has an idea...somehow...”).
He turned to his left and saw a burly man puked out rainbows from his regurgitating stomach fresh from his morning breakfast. Zeran had seen what he shouldn't have seen, making him to wear a horrified and disgusted look. Thereon, that putrid memory will be forever engraved in his mind for eternity. Later on, Zeran and Ru arrived at the plaza. The plaza had a fountain pond but, there were no fishes swimming, since there was no water to begin with. Instead, the fountain was dried up of its waters and it had rich overgrown plants sprawled around it instead. He let her stand near the fountain. A lot of people gathered around and they were having strange murmurs all around. The atmosphere became tense that would make anyone nervous. Soon, Ru exhaled and brought out her divine arms and said in a bold voice,
”Ahem...as you all know, the former king Zeran beheaded the Queen Fae...”
”Although it wasn't to take back the throne or anything like that by conspiring with me...the dark Goddess...”
”But, only to save me...”.
Sadly, the townsfolk didn't believe Ru's words, since they were seeing her as a sinister and vile dark Goddess due to their mindset. In fact, they looked even more suspicious of her. Agony was boiling amongst them. Ru didn't mind their raging reactions, instead she continued to state her powerful words,
”As some of you don't know...”
”The queen held me captive due to feeble reasons...”
”Yet Zera saved me in the end...”

”Not only that, Zera wasn't the one who cheated and betrayed his former wife the queen, rather it was the QUEEN herself...”.
He snapped his fingers again, although Zeran looked away when he was about to see something that wasn't very much appealing. The next moment, scandalous images of Fae being very intimate with her several lovers had drizzled down from the sky, making everyone to be shocked on what they had set their eyes into. The women looked very much disgusted for their late queen although, for males they looked sorta entertained but, they were convinced that the queen was the real cheater, since Queen Fae was fond of taking pictures of herself using some otherworldy image capturer bestowed by the light Goddess. Afterwards, Ru held her chest and says with all her expressive heart and feelings,
”Zera was just framed by her tricks...”
Then, she changes her pose to a lighter one, introducing some kind of idea, as she uttered out her words such as she was a travel guide,
”Also, since you don't have any ruler...”
”Why don't you all choose and vote for a better leader?”
”Don't worry...Zera or me won't participate in this...or cause anymore ruckus...”.
