16 CHAPTER 16: THE CITY BELOW (1/2)

,as Ru sighed and expressed herself, while she was hearing the guys crying in agony with ear-splitting groans and screams of death outside the room, as their heads were getting impaled by the very sharp steel arrows. A moment later, she ripped-off and decapitated the head of the pudgy mayor. She brought it with her. She removed her blue wig and revealed her flowing lavander hair. Moreover, her foxy ears and fluffy tail were also revealed, which reverted her to her true and majestic appearance. She noticed the bookshelves at the back, though there was one unusal thing that she found amongst the stack of books. There was only one golden book with the title in its binder that says, ”THE MAJESTIC GODDESSES FORBIDDEN IMAGES ♥”. Thereon, it made Ru to feel strange goosebumps that crawled through her body in the creepiest way as possible. More than that, she wpre a worried and shocked expression. Though, she was also convinced of her suspicion, turning her to pull-out the golden book. For some reason, one of the shelves lifted up and revealed a dark hidden passage afterwards. Her ears twitched with eagerness as she witnessed the secret area, so Ru entered the hidden passage. Soon, her eyes witnessed the huge dusty room that has rusted prison cells at the sides. She felt the deathly demise in the air, such as you'd seen in an underground prison. She went around the prison bars and saw the skeletons were inside each cell. Though, at the other side she saw the hopeless sitting Zeran with a despair-filled face in-behind bars. She was filled with happiness and her eyes were glistening in joyful tears, as she finally saw her dear Zeran. Ru relaxed herself and she calls unto him with, her soothing and kinda teasing voice,
”Ohhhh Zera♪~”
”It's me...Ru...”.
Yet, he didn't respond to her calling. Since, he doesn't want to see her ever again, since she was the one who told them where he was. Ru calmed herself, she unlocked the lock with the key she was holding, that made a rusty swinging sound, such as you'd hear in an old gate. The air became heavy with immense tension. At his very core, he was feeling was a mix of agony and sorrow. He tries to speak but, it was very depressing to hear and to see since, his face was riddened in an abyssal look, that released some kind of negative vibe around the area,
”What is it you want now?”
”To laugh at me?”.
Soon, his eyes were now dropping liquid crystal-like fragments upon his desecrated face, as he still continues to say with his sorrowful and desperate crying face,

Suddenly, Ru hugged the broken Zeran with her maiden-like embrace, letting him feel to her warmth and the soothing touch of her body, while her long hair flown along with her whole body like a light-falling feather. Her eyes were leaking out acheing tears but, her face was letting out a very sincere heartwarming smile, that would seem she was feeling the intense pain he had gone through, releasing out her empathic concern for him. Zeran was surprised with an unexplainable widened expression but, his other hand was holding a silver dagger reflecting its brilliance. His veinous and angered hand lifted the silver dagger and he pointed it at the very back of Ru, as if ready to impale her very skin. Ru wasn't shocked or anything, since she expected this incident to happen sooner or later. Instead, she continued to embrace him with all her heart. A little while later, she left out a very soothing voice, that would calm down anyone's ruptured soul,
”Didn't I tell you...I'll come back for you?”
”And I did...”.
Soon enough, her other hand that was full of warmth, carresed the back of his head and she continues to say with, her deep crying eyes,
”I'm sure it was hard on you...”
”The only thing I could say is...I'm sorry...”
”This will be the first time and the last time that I'll do something like this to you...”

As Zeran heard her mournful words, he felt a sudden beat in his heart. The heartwarming sensation coursed through his body. A sudden impulse of an unusual feeling was struck in his emotional face. Later on, as the tension around the place was gone and both of them regained their brand of trust, Ru explained to Zeran on what she had done to the city mayor. Not only that, she took the fallen decapitated head from the floor and revealed it, with a set of keys on her other hand, to show them as proofs to him. Zeran was convinced with a surefire look and nod, even in his thoughts were kinda complimenting her too,

Ru felt relieved as she saw him convinced. Soon enough, she told him in a very passionate way with her steaming sexy smile at him, oozing out her diva-like yet, demonness appearance,

Though, he just replies in an uncertain way to her,

While, In his thoughts were much more deeper and feeling more about Ru,

Ru wasn't letting out a malicious vibe, since her face was looking such that a divine maiden's smile was present in existence. Suddenly, Ru took the silver dagger and slashed her left arm vigorously, spilling and leaking out her essential deep red blood, wounding her delicate flesh. As Zeran witnessed her sudden action, he was filled with immense shock. As soon as she was done cutting herself, she threw the dagger away from their presence and leaned to Zeran in a very seductive way. Thereupon, she teases him with a lewd look on her face,
”For hurting you...”
”This is my own punishment to myself...”
”My dear Zera...”.
A little while later, Ru and Zeran left the prison cell and trudged even deeper below. Though, their eyes only witnessed a huge cold iron door that initiated a dead end to their seeking truth. It made Zeran to feel cold shivers from his spine as he saw the steel door and what lies beyond the door. Ru knew that would happen sooner. So, she held Zeran's cold shoulder to relieve him of his anxiety. A little while later, she brought out the set of keys and used the rusty one to unlock the iron curtain. As the door was opened, Zeran's eyes looked very much in shock and in deep surprise, as he saw the whole place with his own sight. A very terrified feeling had coursed throughout his body, that made him to exclaim with a scarred appearance,
”No way...this is?!”.
Thereupon, they have seen the huge dusty caverns and observed the lifeless-looking enslaved people, including minors and women, mining for dazzling red crystals non-stop, in which was so heartaching to anyone's eyes, such as you'd see in a prison filled with innocent people, making Zeran to exclaim with a grave expression,
”NO WAY! THESE POOR PEOPLE ARE MINING FOR...”
”INSANIUM?!”
”I thought?! The city mayor got rid of these and the ones selling them?! Since he hates and disagrees their use?!”.
