Chapter 31 - Enemy Gatherings

Because of the arrival of Song Jin from Yun Xiang Mansion, the servants were busy going back and forth. When they saw Yun Qianliang and Gu Yicheng, all of their expressions stiffened; it was obvious that they did not expect the two of them to be here today.

In the main hall, Yun Qinan and Song Que Jin were discussing trivial matters, the Qin family and Yun Qingyan were accompanying them, the butler was waiting for them, the two of them seemed to have no idea that Yun Qianliang would return to the house today, and were happily chatting.

”This prime minister and the Jin Wang are really fated.” Gu Yicheng had not even walked into the main hall, and the voice had already sounded, breaking the sound of the warm and joyous atmosphere.

Song Jingjing and Yun Qinan stopped talking, and looked at the owner of the voice who had released such an unpleasant sound, only to see Gu Yicheng and Yun Qianliang holding hands and walking in. The two of them were dressed in purple today, looking noble and elegant.

What made people envious was the accessories on their waists. On the half-moon jade pendant, the two of them perfectly combined into a circle.

”Greetings Jin Wang.” Walking into the hall, Yun Qianliang took out her hand, and faced the dark blue embroidered robed man's cold face, and looked at the other person sitting upwards: ”I have seen you. ”Father.”

When Yun Qianliang paused for a while, she swallowed the word ”father” back down her throat and replaced it with the word ”strange” and ”father”.

Yun Qianliang had never been self-aware, and always thought that Yun Qinan doted on sher, and called her father in a loud and clear voice. Thinking about the poison in her body, and how she was treated like a chess piece and married into the Gu Xiangfu, he was afraid that he would never be able to call her that ever again.

Yun Qinan, he couldn't afford it.

”Greetings, father-in-law. I'm still feeling unwell. I came back late, I hope father-in-law doesn't mind.” Gu Yicheng respectfully paid his respects to his father-in-law, using the same unhealthy excuse as before to use as a shield.

”You're back. Take a seat.” Yun Qinan was not in a good mood, following Gu Yicheng's words, she looked at Yun Qianliang who was bowing politely and said: If you are not well, then there is no need to come back, the one who has suffered from the cold is still you, do not trouble Gu Xiang to worry about you.

”Father taught me well.” Yun Qianliang had a smile on his face the entire time, the care and concern he showed grew. ”I heard that Yun Xiang Mansion is a thief, and as her daughter, she should naturally come back to see father because she is frightened. Seeing that father is well, daughter feels a lot more at ease.”

Yun Qinan sized up the slim and graceful woman in front of him. After the incident with the Lu family, he had crippled his wife and helped her aunt, although she had not stolen her identity as a direct daughter, he had never treated her well. As she grew older, her personality became more arrogant and willful, and he was even more unhappy, as she did not like seeing this daughter of his.

Seeing it today, he felt that there was something different about it.

”Why didn't elder sister send someone to inform everyone that she was coming back today? Qingyan will be waiting for you at the door.” Yun Qingyan stood up and smiled, he wanted to grab Yun Qianliang's hand to show her friendliness, that kind and forgiving smile, it was truly charming.

”Second Miss, it's better not to touch shallowness. I'm afraid Jin Wang cannot afford it.” Gu Yicheng dragged the person behind him and placed Yun Qianliang onto a chair, leaving him hanging there awkwardly.

Yun Qinan could not see his beloved daughter being wronged, and had even looked at Yun Qianliang with new eyes, immediately reverting back to her original form, thinking that it was because of Yun Qianliang's instigation that people had misunderstood Yun Qingyan, making her feel wronged.
