Chapter 224 I f I matter to you dont marry her 18 (1/2)
Roline snatched the tab halfway before Christina got hold of it but Christina had guessed the reason so she didn't panic under any force. Roline looked at Christina after watching the damn video.
”Whom were you racing with on the highway?” Roline asked with a straight face. she had expected to have a responsible grown-up sister but she must have been mistaken to think so.
”We weren't racing.”
”What? don't tell me that you were driving on the highway like this, and I don't remember seeing you like this but Christina, didn't you pity our father at least? that man you see can't bear anything, not even a scratch on your arm yet you drove like a crazy drunkard. do you even know how worried I was while coming here? I left Cai home thinking I was caring for a human being but you have a beastly heart, Christina! Roline started shouting at the quiet Christina. Roline didn't watch the whole thing. her mind was only focused on how the latter had put her life in danger leaving them outside but before finding the right word to describe the Christina in front of her, the tab she was holding made an explosive sound... scaring Roline who almost thew the tab down. regaing herself again, she replayed the video once again...
The taxi that was away from Christina's car started to lag. Christina had not noticed but as she watched the video, it now made her realise something. at the end of the video, the yellow taxi left the road for less than five-second but when it came on it again, the track that seemed to be out of control run straight into it with an explosive sound. in the video, Christina's car was pushed behind making it knock into other cars behind hers. at this stage, both Roline and Christina turned to the officer who was there looking at them as if watching an addictive TV show.
”Where is she? Christina asked..
”In the operating suite.”
”wh...ere..where?” Christina said almost breaking into tears. she hadn't expected things to be this serious to happen at this moment but then, ifs weren't the best option.
”In this very hospital.”
Is she still alive? Roline who understood the worst-case scenario asked. she needed to know even though she didn't know how to feel about this but she kept her gaze locked on Christina making the latter to feel more guilty. according to how everything seemed, no one could survive that kind of an accident.
Thank you, officer. Roline said handing the tab back to the officer and heading out right after.
once out, Roline didn't go far, she leaned on the wall and thought about today's date. she was a strong person and she believed so but some things needed her a lot of thinking. she looked at the quiet corridors and took a deep-deep breathe.
