Promised took a bucket of instant noodles from the refrigerator and handed it to me. ”Would you like some instant noodles?”

”Then go on.” I reached for the instant noodles and poured hot water into them. ”Don't you ever think about the dead man?”

The ghost lady hurriedly said, ”How could that be possible? I wouldn't choose to commit suicide by jumping off a building. Even if I had to die, I would eat sleeping pills. It wouldn't be too painful this way. How much better would it be if I slept through it?”

”If you can't even remember what you died of and how you died, then what are you still doing in that company?”

I whispered, ”Are there any other ghosts besides you?”

”I won't leave. I still don't know how I died.” That doesn't make any sense at all. Let's ignore her for now, I'll go to the company tomorrow to take a look. I washed up and went back to my room. After a while, I lay down on my bed and fell asleep.

Early the next morning, I was awakened by a knock on the door. Chen Hong came early in the morning. I walked out of my bedroom and saw him chatting with Promised. He greeted me as he saw me get up.

”Morning …” ”Why are you here so early?” I yawned and walked into the bathroom. After washing my face and rinsing my mouth, I said, ”I've already found the ghost from last night. I've also tamed it.”

Chen Hong quickly said, ”I was just about to tell you about this. Last night, after you two left, when the security guards were on patrol, we saw the ghost again.”

”What?” I was slightly stunned and looked at the female ghost standing in the corner. She also looked at me with a puzzled expression. ”I didn't do it.”

”How can that be,” he said doubtfully, ”and a ghost?”

Chen Hong smiled embarrassedly, ”Actually, I picked up this thing. I once passed by a scenic area when I was out on a business trip.”

”It really was raining then, so I hid in a small cave. I found this Golden Toad in one of the underground caves.” I also got someone to appraise it. This Golden Toad is indeed gold, so I brought it back.

”The problem is found. It's this Jin Chan.” I stepped forward and reached for the toad, but suddenly I felt a force push me back.

The office descended into darkness, as if there was a power outage, and the temperature inside dropped.

This entire floor was covered in Yin Qi, and the toad's eyes were blood-red. It flickered for a moment before letting out a gurgling sound. ”Cough, cough.” I looked at him with a surprised expression. Reaching out of my backpack, I took out an axe and chopped down with the axe.

”Gu Gu …” ”Gu gu!” Jin Chan cried out twice before spitting out a mouthful of black air. He leaped forward and landed on the ground.
