Guan Rou frowned and said, ”No wonder when I saw you a while ago, I felt that your complexion was very bad.”

I thought so as well. Guan Rou's words were meant to create an opportunity for me. I pretended to be deep in thought as I frowned and said, ”Why don't you stay at my place for the night? I'll come back tomorrow to help you get rid of that ghost.”

”Go to your house? ”This isn't a good idea …”

”What's wrong with that? We're all friends so don't mind that.”

Guan Rou reached for her coat and came over. ”I also reluctantly stayed the night. My house has been out of power for the past two days and I was just worrying about not having a place to stay. I don't want to go back to the police station.”

Han Mengchen sat on the floor with a frightened expression and held a piece of clothing in his hand. ”Xiao Rou, there's a ghost in the room.”

Just as he finished speaking, there was a dull thud and the door closed automatically. The temperature in the room immediately dropped, and a chilly wind blew in from outside the window.

I saw a ghost standing by the bed. It was a man with a jasper hairpin, dressed in a white robe, holding a folding fan in his hand and wearing a pair of white deer boots.
