Ye Xiong covered his eyes. He crouched on the ground and groaned in agony.

”Are you alright?”

Luo Weiwei realized that his veins were surfacing under his skin all over his body. It was obvious that he was in great pain.

Rosefinch stared at one side. Her eyes flashed as she pondered.

The pain lasted for a few minutes before it subsided.

Ye Xiong stood up to quietly leave and headed to the toilet.

He saw a pair of eyes that clearly did not belong to any human in the mirror. The blood-red color had yet to subside completely and it looked incredibly frightening.

”F*ck, what's going on!” Ye Xiong cursed.

Phoenix's words then flashed across his mind.

”You've been buried underground for half a month and you've miraculously survived. No normal man could survive in that condition for that long. The Chief suspects that they'd modified your genes.”

His eyes returned to normal ten minutes later. He felt incredibly weak as if he had just experienced an intense battle.

Ye Xiong barely held on due to the side effects even though he had an extraordinary built. If it were any average man, they probably would not be able to endure this and die.

Ye Xiong washed his face as he returned to the control room.

”What's the matter?” Rosefinch asked worriedly.

”I've been holding it for too long. I'm a guy, you know what I mean.” Ye Xiong smiled mischievously before ordering the operator. ”Please pull the timestamp to seven minutes three seconds… Yes, here. Stop!”

Ye Xiong pointed at a man entering the hotel in the monitor. ”It's him.”

Luo Weiwei went in closer and looked at the replay a few times, but she could not find anything wrong with it.

Rosefinch, who had been silent for a while decided to voice out. ”This man had undergone some special training. Look at the way he is walking, it is calm and stable. His hands did not swing too gently nor too widely. It's a habit of a militant and it's incredibly hard to change it.”

Luo Weiwei looked carefully and it seemed to be the truth. She was shocked in her mind as she stared at Rosefinch.

She did not expect that there was someone so capable of serving beside Ye Xiong.

However, she was even more impressed with Ye Xiong as the latter was able to differentiate the suspect's walking posture at such an incredible speed. It was something that defied the laws of physics!

”Can you really recognize he's the guy who planted the poison just by looking at his walking posture?” Luo Weiwei asked shockingly.

”I recognized him by his face.”

”You can recognize someone's a criminal by looking at their faces? You must be joking!” Luo Weiwei did not believe him at all since the suspect did not carve the word criminal on his face.

”I've seen him at Fuhua Hotel before.” Ye Xiong told the truth.

Luo Weiwei was at a loss for words.

She immediately searched for the suspect's name via her database on the spot.

Yan Li: 28 years old, born in the East District of Jiangnan City, retired veteran, currently working in Tianyu Bar, night shift, one-meter seventy-eight centimeters tall, unmarried.

”Tianyu Bar is He Family's business. We can deduce that Ye Xiong's deduction is a possibility. ”Weiwei looked at the information as she immediately ordered her subordinates. ”I'm going to capture Yan Li now.”

”I'll follow you.”

Ye Xiong turned her head around and told Rosefinch, ”Lil Song, stay here and take care of the hotel. Let me know if anything happens.”

Rosefinch nodded. She then phoned someone with a serious look on her face as Luo Weiwei and Ye Xiong left the scene.

”Chief, something's wrong. Death of God's gene may have been awakened.”

”What's the situation?” An anxious voice came from the other side of the phone.

Rosefinch reported everything she saw and the other side of the phone was quiet for a long time.

”I didn't expect things would come to this. My most worrisome thing has happened.”

”Chief, now that his gene has awakened, is it very dangerous?” Rosefinch was concerned.

”Genetic warfare has always been a double-edged sword. It would help the nation if used properly and it's incredibly effective. However, when it's badly managed, it's extremely destructive. Rosefinch, your responsibility is incredibly heavy here. You must make sure he doesn't tread on the wrong path,” the Chief said seriously.
