Since Lin Xiao confidently promised, everyone decided not to leave.

Thinking about the harsh conditions of the cave, they didn't want to go either.

While everyone was in a hurry to move stuff into the cave, the four of them were gathered in Lin Ya's room.

Lin Ya's room was originally designed by his partner as a larger one.

Generally, the family only had two bedrooms, unless there were more children, like the three children in Ya Heng's family.

Lin Ya's family had four rooms in the beginning. His partner wanted three babies, but he didn't expect that the heavens would not help him.

At last his companion was gone, and he was left alone in the house.

It was enough for Ya Heng and co. to live there now.

Kagel brought the food that he had prepared here, preparing to pass this rainy season.

Lin Ya had also prepared the food. However, Lin Xiao and Ya Heng were out of food and could only eat and drink for free.

”I'm worried that we won't have enough to eat by then.” Lin Ya was a little worried as he looked at the food.

Lin Xiao walked out of the door and took a look at the weather outside. Basically, the dark clouds had disappeared, meaning that the sudden heavy rain was only temporary. The real rainy season hasn't come yet.

”Ya Heng, when did you arrive during the rainy season?” Lin Xiao looked at Ya Heng who was busy.

”Five days, normally.”

Now Lin Xiao was relieved, ”You guys can go out and hunt. The animals should be scared by the rain too, most of them are hiding and shivering. You guys can go somewhere close by to hunt. You can go tomorrow morning and come back the day after tomorrow.”

”What if it rains? We shouldn't go, we should save some food.” Lin Ya said worriedly.

”It's fine. If it doesn't rain tomorrow morning, it won't rain for the time being.” Lin Xiao promised.

How did he know? In fact, he didn't know either. He had guessed that since the rainy season didn't come and the wind was very strong, the dark clouds had all been blown away, so it shouldn't rain for the time being.

But it had to be the next morning.

The next morning, Lin Xiao got up to check the weather and sure enough, there was a fire cloud in the sky.

There was a saying among the commoners that it was best to burn the morning sun, or to burn the yin in the evening, or to burn the rain in the evening when the sun was in the sky. That meant that there would be no rain for the rest of the day.

”Rest assured, you can go. If you've found enough food, it would be best to come back today.” Lin Xiao instructed Ya Heng and Kagel.

After the two of them left, Lin Xiao also called Lin Ya, ”Let's go. Let's go out and find some wild vegetables and fruits. If we don't eat something for a long time, we'll die from the discomfort.”

The two of them took their tools and walked towards the woods by the river.

Every house on the street was busy moving things. They had to get to the cave as soon as possible.

When one of the beastmen saw the two of them, he kindly asked, ”Why are you two still not moving your things? It will be terrible if it rains again at night.”

”Thank you. We'll do it later.” Lin Xiao said as he pulled Lin Ya away.

”Lin Ya, thank you for trusting me.” The group of people looked at Lin Ya and said.

On the other hand, Lin Ya was a bit embarrassed, ”I trusted you from the beginning, you're amazing.”

”Don't worry, I will let you live a good life.” When Lin Xiao said this, he suddenly felt responsible.

There was no one by the river, no one in the forest.

Lin Xiao called Lin Ya to dig up wild vegetables. After the rain, mushrooms even grew out of the forest.
