C27 Internal Usurpation (1/2)

The three messages were all displayed as read, but after Lu Jinghuan sat in front of the computer and waited for around five to six minutes, there was no reply, so the results were already obvious.

Seeing the message in the dialog box that was like a stone sinking into the ocean, Lu Jinghuan couldn't help but smile — —

He really was an interesting person.

”Dong Dong Dong …”

There was a knock on the door.

Lu Jinghuan closed the computer in front of him and looked towards the door: ”Come in.”

The door opened, and Cheng Wanzhen stood at the entrance while smiling at Lu Jinghuan: ”The meal is about to start, Zhenrong asked me to come over and call you down.”

”Zhenrong” was the name of Lu Jinghuan's father, which meant that he was the person who truly held control of the entire Lu’s Group. When he was young, he could shake the business world, and was a very well-known person, but Elder Lin had entered into the flower bush, married a woman who was around the same age as his own son, and returned with a new brother. This caused a huge sensation in the entire Ye City.

The last time Lu Jinghuan heard someone calling his father ”Zhenrong” before he entered was when his mother was dying by his bedside. After that it stopped for a few years, Lu Zhenrong brought Cheng Wanzhen, who was already seven to eight months old, back home. From then on, the name ”Zhenrong” was called again, and after this woman gave birth to her son, she completely settled herself in the position of Mrs Lu.

sat down and did not move, but Cheng Wanzhen smiled and walked over to him.

”Your dad and brother are both in the living room. It's rare for you to come back, aren't you going to talk to them?”

”Aren't you supposed to be good at this?”

”It's been almost two years, and you still think of me as an outsider?” Cheng Wanzhen walked to the desk and stopped, she glanced at the computer in front of Lu Jinghuan, then turned away and smiled gently: ”Speaking of this, it's been a long time since you've been back, but your dad still has a servant coming over to clean every day, I hope that you can move back one day.”

Lu Jinghuan placed the computer into a drawer in front of Cheng Wanzhen, locked it, and did not pull out the key. ”It's fine for me to live here by myself, I can be at ease with the people here having you to take care of them.”

Cheng Wanzhen laughed, and then shifted her gaze back onto Lu Jinghuan: ”Since you're not willing to move back, then I won't say anymore, but it's rare for you to come back, it's better if you go down and have a good dinner with your father, don't make him unhappy again.”

Lu Jinghuan laughed, without saying a word, he got up and took his suit jacket and headed to the door.

After laughing, he followed Lu Jinghuan out of the study. Just as he was about to close the door, his gaze subconsciously fell on the table where Lu Jinghuan locked his computer, and after a few seconds, he closed the door and followed Lu Jinghuan downstairs for dinner.

”Eldest Young Master, Madam.”

”Sister Zhang, have you finished making the porridge for the young lord?”

”Alright, should we bring it up now?”

”Yeah, I don't have a good stomach these few days. I just want some porridge for dinner.” Cheng Wanzhen instructed the servant: ”Then go and fill a bowl for me, let's warm up your stomach a little.”

The servant then went to the kitchen. Cheng Wanzhen turned around and saw that Lu Zhenrong and Lu Jinghuan had both sat down at the dining table, she pretended to smile embarrassedly and walked to the left side of Lu Zhenrong, which was the seat opposite him. She then placed the spread out cloth under Lu Zhenrong's plate and asked, ”Jinghuan rarely comes back to eat dinner, why are you not talking anymore?”

The father and son duo still did not speak as the atmosphere suddenly turned cold.

Cheng Wanzhen laughed, then took out a cup of wine and poured it for Lu Zhenrong, then stood up and walked towards Lu Jinghuan.

”He still has to drive back, so don't pour him a drink.” Lu Zhenrong spoke up in a timely manner, his tone slightly stiff but it was still hard to conceal the concern he had for his eldest son.

”It's alright, Hee Mu sent me here.”

”Then... Pour some for him. ”
