It was Song Ren's summer commencement ceremony. She had completed all of her online courses and hours at the hospital to obtain her bio-medical degree with honours.
She wore a black cap and gown and a golden sash over her academic dress to represent her class, honours standing, and her family; her cap sat on top of her head, over her long and unbound black hair. She stood up at the podium, feeling an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.
As she stepped further onto the podium, Song Ren scanned the entire crowd to find her whole family sitting in the middle aisle standing and cheering her on. Su Feng was clapping in between snapping photos of her. He looked so proud of her that he practically beamed.
Song Ren was someone who imagined herself to accept the reality: Get a degree, marry for business, and not take anything to heart. But since she met Su Feng, her heart had softened; she began to open up herself with everyone around her, becoming less reserved than usual.
After receiving her degree, Song Ren sat with her graduating class until the ceremony was over. Afterwards, Su Feng snapped photos of her with her family as she raised a bouquet, smiling. She then took turns taking pictures with everyone individually. Song Sheng was well enough to move around as if nothing happened. He even began to go to the gym to train his body into great shape.
Typically when Song Ren and Song Sheng took photos together, both their faces would be reserved, not showing many emotions. But today, they both smiled broadly, tugged side-to-side in an embrace. Qian Meigui stood by, touched. When it was her turn, Qian Meigui and Song Ren took photos with both silly and natural poses. With Su Feng, he lifted her high as she held her diploma with a bright smile.
Afterwards, they all went back home for the graduation party. More family members such as the Song family that work for Sheng, the Yang's, and friends from the company was there already waiting. Qian Meigui and Song Sheng openly displayed their affection, much to the dismay of Song Ren and the twins who were still adjusting to their relationship.
At first, Qian Meigui was rather shy about it, but Song Sheng did not hesitate to hold her hand, embrace her randomly, or to kiss her out of nowhere.
Song Sheng held her from behind as he rested his chin over her head for most of the party. Slowly, Qian Meigui grew more comfortable enough to return the same affection; they couldn't keep their hands off from each other. Luckily, no one made any negative comments, and if they thought differently, then they kept it to themselves.
But Qian Meigui didn't care, she was tired of hiding and pretending.
As the party went on, Song Ren and Su Feng went into details about their wedding. Nearly everyone was excited about an upcoming wedding; it gave them something to look forward to going.

By marriage ritual, before the wedding, the bride and groom typically celebrate with their friends separately. Song Ren took Qian Meigui, Song Jinyi, some girls from the company, and she even invited Xue Guangli to commemorate the night. Su Feng took some of his old friends, Song Sheng, Song Jun, and Zhong Liu.
