Chapter 9：so stupid! (1/2)
After the quarrel, the next day, Du Yingxuan personally talked to Ye Ruwei and ordered her to leave Mu Zheng.
”Impossible!'
Of course, Ye Ruwei did not agree. How could she take an order from another woman and leave the Mu Zheng that she loved?
”You are playing with your own life, do you know that?” Du Yingxuan was not angry and was smiling sweetly and innocently.
”What does that mean?” She asked inexplicably.
”Do you know what will happen if you continue to cling to Mu Zheng?”
”What will happen?”
”Go home and see for yourself!”
With this riddle, Du Yingxuan left. Ye Ruwei looked at her retreating back with her heart full of questions.
What was she talking about?
Driven by curiosity, she immediately returned home. The moment she opened the door, her face turned pale.
”This.....what happened?”
Her house had been broken into with all the furniture destroyed. All the placement items were totally smashed, an enlarged photo of her, that was hanging on the wall was riddled with sharp knives. The face on the photo was ripped and cut into pieces like a honeycomb. She fell to the ground, hugging herself with her arms, trying to stifle the chilling feeling that was rising in her body.
It was Du Yingxuan!
It must be her!
She was still in shock when her cell phone rang. The sudden ringing sound startled her and she paused for a moment before slowly picking up the call.
Who is it?
”Do you like the changes in your home?” It was Du Yingxuan!
”Du Yingxuan, you are too much! Why did you damage my home? Are there no laws in your eyes?”
”Since I dare to do this, naturally I have backing. Who does not know my father and who dares to contradict my father?”
”You and your father will do whatever evil and still put on an innocent look. You really make me sick!” Ye Ruwei was really furious. She had never scolded a person so severely before.
”As long as I get my objective, I do not care and you can say whatever you want.”
”Then, what is it that you want?”
”I have already said that I want you to leave Mu Zheng! Your presence has greatly affected his performance. He has been acting a bit unusual and killing people with mercy. I think this has to be due to your influence”
”Killing is basically wrong!”
”You really have a sense of justice but now you are in trouble, who will come to save you?”
”If Mu Zheng knows you are such a vicious woman, he will help me!” Ye Ruwei shouted.
”Is that right? Unfortunately, between you and me, who do you think Mu Zheng will choose to believe?”
Her words shattered Ye Ruwei's confidence.
Du Yingxuan was right. Even if she and Du Yingxuan were to settle this face to face, Mu Zheng would not believe her. In his mind, Du Yingxuan was the perfect holy angel, how could he believe she was actually a fake angle in disguise?
After that day, Du Yingxuan's threats became more intensified and then she began to send vicious-looking men to scare her. Later when Ye Ruwei found that she was pregnant, for her child and her own safety, she was forced to quietly shut down Hongye Hot Springs, leaving Mu Zheng and moved away.
Seven months later, she gave birth to a healthy, handsome boy and she named him, Qi An (Prayer for safety). Just like his name, she did not hope for anything but only to keep him safe.
In a blink of an eye, so many years had passed. The four-year-old Qi An had grown up to be a smart and sensible boy and she did not want anything to happen to him!
She was afraid that if she had any contact with Mu Zheng, Qi An would be hurt. So all these years, she had been hiding from him and did not think that he would be able to find them and also appear, holding a photo of Qi An.
I must take Qi An to a safe place....
She had been murmuring these words all the time she was unconscious.
Ye Ruwei fluttered her long eyelashes, a few seconds later, slowly opened her eyes.
She first noticed the darkness around her. There was no light in the room except for the small lamp on the bedside table.
Is the sky already dark?
She sat up in astonishment and looked around the room.
This was her room. This was hers and Qi An's warm home!
How could she be here? Her last memory was.....she was working in the office and then....
Mu Zheng came!
She suddenly remembered what had happened in the afternoon, immediately lifted off the quilt and got out of bed. She wanted to go to the living room to take a look.
She quietly opened the door and stole a look outside. At first glance, she saw her baby in the dining room, immediately felt relief. Qi An was sitting on a dining chair, opening his small mouth waiting to be fed.
Mu Zheng's back was facing her. He was half squatting in front of Qi An, one hand holding a cartoon pattern rice bowl, the other big hand was holding a small spoon scooping food from the rice bowl, feeding food into Qi An's little mouth.
Her eyes began to redden, she knew Mu Zheng would love this child!
”Ah! Mama woke up...” Qi An shouted as soon as he saw her and immediately stretched out his hands.
”Qi An...”
Just then, Mu Zheng also saw her and she had to obediently walk into the dining room.
”Mom, Daddy is feeding me.” Qi An said happily with his eyes wide opened.
Daddy? While she was in deep slumber, they had taken the opportunity to become acquainted as father and son?
”Really?” She felt Mu Zheng's hot gaze on her and inevitably had to look up at him.
”In fact, Qi An knows how to feed himself. You don't have to feed him.” She said uncomfortably.
”But I want to feed him!” Mu Zheng stressed.
Ye Ruwei once again felt her nose turned sour. She knew he wanted to recover the time lost between father and son.
”Qi An is a good boy. Can you watch TV on your own?” Mu Zheng patted his son's soft face gently and whispered.
”I want to watch 'The Hunter'!” His mother did not allow him to watch any fighting cartoon shows and he could only watch cartoon shows like 'Cherry Marble' and 'Doraemon' (both are Japanese cartoon shows for little children)
”Okay, go!”
”Yeah!”
Qi An happily ran over to switch on the TV. Ye Ruwei immediately frowned, did not agree and said. ”Do not let him watch those violent shows, the child's mimicry is very strong. I do not want him, in future, to become...”
She suddenly stopped and did not continue. Mu Zheng understood what she wanted to say.
”Do not want him to become a bloody killer like his father, in future?”
Ye Ruwei was silent because he was right.
”I believe that Qi An has good judgment and he will choose the right path for his future because he has a good mother who loves and guides him.”
If he also had a good mother to love him, today he would never have become the killer, Solitary Wolf.
”The last I remembered, I was in the company, how come I am at home?” She asked.
”You can't remember? You fainted in the company and I sent you back. Before I came back, I went to the nursery to pick up Qi An and there was some food in the fridge. I used that to fry some rice to feed him.”
When he mentioned Qi An, she suddenly remembered Du Yingxuan's warning. Her face suddenly paled, quickly pushed his chest and anxiously said. ”This afternoon, you said you want to see the child, now you have seen him, you can leave. Please do not appear before us again, after this!”
”What are you saying?” Mu Zheng stared at her as if she was a monster.
”Please, I beg you! Do not disturb our quiet life!”
”You seem to be scared. What are you afraid of?” Mu Zheng grabbed her hand and asked fiercely.
He was not blind. He could see that she was fearful of something but he did not know what it was.
”Let me go! Please leave! I beg you, for Qi An's sake, I beg you to leave us!”
Ye Ruwei was afraid. She knew Du Yingxuan was not just casually talking and she would really kill her and Qi An. That horrible woman would do anything!
After the birth of Qi An, once she had wanted to go and seek out Mu Zheng with her child but she was hit by a car. Luckily she was holding Qi An tightly and he was not injured but her back had taken the hit and it took her a long time to recuperate from her injury.
After the accident, the car quickly drove off and she could not see who was driving but when she came home, she found the word 'warning' painted in red paint on the wall. Then she knew that Du Yingxuan did not let her go completely and had always been monitoring her!
