”I'm trying to prove that I didn't fail every time.”
How could Sun Jinzi not understand the meaning of his words? She knew that he was using her words to tease her, so Sun Jinzi just snorted and turned her head to ignore him.
”Well, aren't you hungry? Since the streets are closed, let's go to my residence and eat something. ”
Sun Jinzi looked at the courtyard, even if it was turned into ashes, she would still be able to recognize it, this was clearly the Sixth Prince's Estate.
She only nodded slightly. She still missed the meal cooked by the chef in Sixth Prince's Estate, but she did not know if it was the same taste.
Sixth Prince ordered, the people in the kitchen naturally did not dare to delay. Fortunately, the chef was already worried that the Sixth Prince would get hungry and had prepared dumplings.
Right now, it was only in the process of cooking. When the servant knocked on the door, Jin Chupei knew that the meal was ready. He let Sun Jinzi prepare it and went to open the door.
That servant still wanted to bring food into the room, but was rejected by Jin Chupei. Only then did Sun Jinzi heave a sigh of relief, who knew what kind of expression Sixth Prince's Estate's servants would have if they saw a woman appearing in their prince's room.
Just as he was thinking, Jin Chupei had already placed the dumplings on the table, but the servant probably thought that he was the only one who ate them, and only prepared a pair of chopsticks, but the dumplings were already cooked to the point that it was enough for two people.
While Sun Jinzi seemed to be thinking about something, and didn't notice it at all. Right as she moved his face over, Sun Jinzi dodged it again.
”What are you doing?”
Jin Chupei tilted his body, as he was always on guard against Jin Chupei's approach. Jin Chupei only felt that Sun Jinzi looked more like a cat with its claws bared, ready to attack at any time. But if he wanted to, wouldn't that just be squishing Sun Jinzi in his palms?
”I just wanted to tell you, dumplings are done. You can eat now.”
Sun Jinzi also noticed that the dumplings had already been served. It's just that there were two people with only a pair of chopsticks.
”You, how are you going to eat this?”
Jin Chupei had already expected Sun Jinzi to ask that, so he didn't mind at all. He used his long fingers to pick up a dumpling and stuffed it into his mouth, just that the dumpling was too hot, causing Jin Chupei to suck in a few breaths before swallowing it.
When Sun Jinzi saw that his two fingers were slightly red, she could not help but feel some heartache.
”Alright, alright, eating like this isn't an option. You eat first.”
”No, the dumplings will be cold soon.”
Jin Chupei's expression was exceptionally serious, causing Sun Jinzi to have no reason to refute. In a daze, Jin Chupei had already removed the chopsticks.
When Sun Jinzi wanted to dodge it, the dumpling had already reached her mouth when she saw looking at her with eyes that could not bear to watch a play. Sun Jinzi could not resist and could only obediently open his mouth and swallow the dumpling.
Sun Jinzi felt that the dumpling was very familiar, it seemed like Sixth Prince's Estate's chef was still the same. Even if many things were to be repeated, those that did not change were still inconvenient.
Just as Jin Chupei wanted to ask whether she was tasty, looking at her expression, he knew there was no need to ask, but there was a clear sense of nostalgia in her eyes. If not for him knowing that Sun Jinzi had never been to Sixth Prince's Estate before, he would really suspect if she had eaten food made by a chef in a kitchen.
After confirming Sun Jinzi's expression once again, Jin Chupei was even more suspicious. Thinking back carefully, Jin Chupei was certain that this chef was found by the Queen Mother when she was eight years old and moved out of the imperial palace. Sun Jinzi was still three to five years younger than him, so it was definitely impossible for him to have eaten the food made by him.
Coming back to her senses, seeing that Jin Chupei's face was full of inquiry, Sun Jinzi realized that she had forgotten to hide her expression, and coughed twice, and lowered her head in embarrassment.
”I just think the dumpling tastes like my mother's bag.”
Hearing Sun Jinzi's words, Jin Chupei finally understood in his heart.
”If you like it, then eat more.”
As he spoke, another dumpling was brought to Sun Jinzi's mouth. After continuously eating a few dumplings, Sun Jinzi felt somewhat satisfied. Only then did she realise that Jin Chupei had not eaten any dumplings when he was feeding her, and his expression was also a little evil.
When Jin Chupei brought the dumplings over, Sun Jinzi still pushed the dumplings back. Jin Chupei looked at the plates that had only contained a few less dumplings, and his heart was filled with suspicions.
”I'm full, I'm not eating anymore.”
Sun Jinzi thought that Jin Chupei would put the dumpling by his mouth and eat it, but when he raised his head, the dumpling was still in front of him.
”Eat two more.”
Jin Chupei still wanted to speak, but took the opportunity when Sun Jinzi opened his mouth to speak to stuff half of the dumpling into his mouth.
Sun Jinzi felt that she was suddenly struck dumb. She had never seen someone like this, who stuffed food into other people's mouth, staring at Jin Chupei angrily, but still swallowed the dumplings.
Seeing the chopsticks move, Sun Jinzi immediately covered her mouth, afraid that Jin Chupei would push the chopsticks back in.
Indeed, Jin Chupei was unwilling to let go of his chopsticks and extend them all to his, causing his to feel extremely helpless. He shook his head desperately, not daring to speak. He was afraid that another dumpling would be stuffed into his mouth.
