130 Chapter 130 (2/2)
James was guilty of that as well at times, and he knew that. However, likely due to his experiences with Dwight in the real world, he had humbled himself, and come to understand that even though everything within the games felt real, they were still just games. There was a real world, and in it, there were always consequences, and others better than you. Evil people existed, and they could and would do terrible things for no reason. Because of that, James liked to do what he could in games to help others, rather than become like the people he tormented.
However, as had been evident when he first encountered Xander, when the developer had threatened Rue, James still had a superman complex at times. Obviously, his AI had the same complex too, which was why they were now about to embark on a challenge that literally would decide their future within DCO. The more he thought on it, as he glanced at the timer, and back to Rue, the more he could feel his nerves going wild. The next 5 days in this virtual world, a mere 5 hours outside in the real world, would decide his fate. As the minutes ticked by, he pulled up his message menu.
To: BLANK
Subject: Deus Ex Machina
You pride yourselves as being brilliant, undefeatable gamers. You accuse me of cheating the system, of somehow gaining an unfair edge, which has allowed me to take the spot as the second highest ranked dungeon in DCO. But let me set a few things straight.
First, I did not cheat. Obviously, you have a great understanding of DCO. You know how vast this game is, don't you think there may be ways for others to get advantages, such as I did, without cheating? Besides, why the hell would I cheat in a game that I am already doing great in?

Second, if anyone should be called out for cheating, it should be you two. I know who you are, I know all about you. Don't you think your father gives you an unfair advantage? Honestly, the reason I didn't call you out on that before, was because I was afraid. Afraid of your father, afraid of what he could do to me. But, let's just say, for reasons, I'm no longer afraid.
Third. You should be ashamed over using that username. I've seen the show, I've read the light novels. You don't deserve that name. Sora and Shiro are so much better than you two ever could wish to be. You're just arrogant little pricks.
Finally, I look forward to this dungeon war. I look forward to seeing your faces as my dungeon, my players, and my mobs take you down. It is time you learn that gaming is about more than just being the singular best. There is so much more to life than overwhelming sheer power or skill. Maybe my dungeon can teach you that. If not, then it doesn't matter. But at least I can say I tried. If I win, hopefully you and your family will finally leave me alone.

Rue grinned at James as he finished his message. From her eyes and smile, he could tell she approved of his message. He clicked send and watched as the last few seconds before the dungeon war counted down. It was time.
