Chapter 109

DCO Patch Notes 1.2- Introducing Dungeon Wars!

Was the forum title boldly glowing on DCO's forum homepage. Already, James could see it had a growing amount of comments, as well as quite the view count. Which, considering judging by the timestamp, the update post had just gone live less than 5 minutes ago, was impressive. James figured the mass automatic interest and excitement on the forum post, was a testament to just how popular DCO had already become, after just three days of in game time.

”Let's just see what exactly I've gotten myself into.” James mumbled around his sore mouth as he selected the forum topic. He grimaced at the pain in his jaw but had been spending the day trying to ice it, and lightly massage it. His breakfast and lunch of Soylent had been disgusting. He was going to get his jaw better enough to at least eat something, even if it was ramen, before his next immersion session.

DCO Patch Notes 1.2

We already have Dungeons. We already have Dragons. How about we add in some Dungeon Wars?

James let out an audible sigh after that first line, before continuing. Seriously? That was the best they came up with? Had they let go of all their actually creative members? He wouldn't put it past the fun sucker that was Xander.

Greetings, once again brave adventurers. Let us first once again thank all of you for joining us on this grand adventure. As of this moment, DCO is the top played game in immersion across the world, and for that, we thank you. Never did we believe we would hit a milestone like this one, and so quickly. If not for all of you brave, adventurous souls, none of this would be possible.

Now, into the fun stuff.

As everyone knows, the dungeons within DCO will continue to grow in strength and size, as the game progresses. Now, we could be like some game developers, and leave that as the big hook. But we feel we owe it to all of you, the players, to have a little something more.

Already, DCO has interactive environments, an ever changing and growing threat, and massive amounts of configuration and character growth. However, there is one thing that DCO has been lacking for the past couple of days, something that we've seen people mentioning quite a few times.

PvP.

Of course, what game doesn't have PvP? What type of MMO can expect to survive purely on PvE? Obviously, we feel DCO could, but when we started developing our game, when our small, humble team-

James had to snort at that line. The action causing another moment of pain. If there was one thing the DCO team wasn't, it was humble.

- first dreamt up this monstrous endeavor, we knew PvP would be key for longevity. The game, after all, needs to be able to please every type of gamer out there, not just one group, no matter how large.

Because of this, and because of the growth we've seen within the game over the past few days, we have decided to do an early release of our next content. That's right, we are going to give you all a little something extra, that we hadn't initially planned to share this early on. We are going to give you all Dungeon Wars!!!!
