45 『The Handler Princess』 (1/2)
The Royal Carriage drawn by two horses came trotting into the main gates of the Fortress City.
Guards on horses moved alongside it, keeping civilians at a distance, for both her safety and theirs. There were even a group of adamantite adventurers accompanying them, two of which appeared to be a pair of female shinobi standing on horses.
In the perch of the carriage was none other than a large armor suited female in purple armor. She had blonde hair, darkly toned skin and sharp eyes. Her muscles and wide build taking away most of her feminine charm, replacing it with unsettling amount of manly testosterone.
Yet, she controlled the reigns.
Long blonde hair, precious blue eyes and a fair face. Princess Renner sat with a posh posture, admired by all those who dared glimpse into the horse drawn vehicle.
Beside her was a young man with short blonde hair and daringly protective blue eyes. His name was Climb, dressed in armor to fight for and protect his Princess. He was young, reminiscent of a puppy dog, if only he had been barking at her feet.
”Are you sure this is a good idea?” Another voice spoke up, a girl wearing a mask with a red gemstone planted in the center of it. She was small and blonde, most of her darkly designed attire hidden by her red mantle.
”EvilEye,” the female sitting beside her laughed lightly, ”The Princess knows what she is doing.” It was another blonde, this time one of noble descendance, suited in vibrant orange and blue light armor with a heavy looking Sword of Darkness.
Renner giggled shyly at her friends before letting out a slow sigh. ”A dragon... Or a man who can turn into one,” she shook her head as she thought about it.
”I've only ever encountered one similar to this, but never have I seen one turn into a man.” The Evileye spoke of Platinum, a member of the Thirteen Heroes from two hundred years ago, who used a plate of magical armor masquerade as a humanoid being.
”No matter the power the beast holds, I am sure I can put it down, should it bare its fangs! For I, Lakyus, am the holder of the Sword of Darkness Kilineiram!” The Adamantite party leader proclaimed aloud, with a glorious voice, if not childishly so.
Evileye just looked at her leader and shook her head slightly before looking out the window.
One of the Guard's horses came trotting close to the window and he leaned over toward the Princess and her bodyguard. ”There seems to be a group of people in our path up ahead. What are your orders?”
Raising a brow, ”Who are they?”
The guard looked forward, straining his eyes before looking to the Princess once more. ”It appears to be four Adventurers and three...” he went to look back once more before his lips parted. ”T-two common peasants and the man who fits the Head Warrior's description of...”
The Princess's eyes widened slightly, a wide grin very briefly forming over her lips. ”Stop the Carriage,” she'd order as they were closing in on the group waiting for them on the path to the VIP Villa. She was becoming exceptionally curious of this individual, as he had now intercepted her in the Fortress City.
With Gagaran stopping the Carriage, and summarily departing from the perch, a thud from her boots hitting the ground resonated with the other passengers.
Climb was the first person to leave the cabin, followed by the Princess and then the two other Adventurers. They soon found themselves standing in front of the group of seven.
”Salutations, Your Highness,” Vertum stepped forward as he summoned his staff to his hand.

Renner pursed her lips hearing his voice and the charm of his abnormal appearance. Those vibrant amethyst eyes of his, the silvery white hair combined with his youthful god-like complexion, it really wasn't something she was expecting despite the description.
Curtsying before the Dragon with her guards and allies at her sides, she looked up to the man. ”My name is Princess Renner Theiere Chardelon Ryle Vaiself, you may call me Renner.” Her voice was soft and keen on getting favor from anyone who would listen to it.
Vertum was impressed by her air of influence. His eyes traveled to the Adamantite Plaques of her escort, and to the useless guards which surrounded her.
He could kill them all, right here and now, but he wasn't a bloodthirsty killer. Even if the thought was in the back of his head, killing people wasn't something he wanted to make regular, despite the fact that it might be forced by his environment.
”You may call me Vertum,” The Dragon's slotted pupils constricted slightly as he looked her over. She was a petite form, and as she was human, also squishy. While she had an elegant appearance, her forehead a rather dominant trait, she had this strange aura about her.
