36 Humiliating Rennes (1/2)

Without delay, Prime and Rennes then went up to the battle stage and get ready.

”HuskyBeast, huh? From all the matches I've seen, this guy seems to be known for his monstrous strength and also most of his attacks are melees. Therefore, as long as I keep my distance away from him, then I should be fine,” Rennes thought to himself.

Rennes was convinced that in terms of pure strength alone, he believes Prime is stronger than him without a doubt. But when it comes to using magic, Rennes believes he's the better one.

”Hehe, you may be strong, but if you can't touch me, then you're useless,” Rennes laughed secretly.

However, little did Rennes know that Prime is not someone who is only strong, but also very fast as well in term of speed.

”Whenever you guys are ready, you guys may start,” said the tournament referee.

”I'm ready,” said Prime.

”I'm ready too,” said Rennes.

”Alright, if that's the case, Battle Start!”

Once the battle begins, Rennes immediately jump away backward and keep a distance of at least 50 meters away from Prime.

”Huh? What is Rennes doing?” the crowd wondered.

”Obviously to avoid close combat with HuskyBeast, you idiot!” said another person to his friend.

Everyone who had watched Prime's battles before, knew that he's a monster when it comes to pure strength. As for Rennes, strength is not his specialty because he's not a fighter class, but rather he's more of an assassin and magician class.

In general, Assassin Class is known for its speed and high burst damage. While Magician Class is just someone who specializes in using magic abilities.

At the moment, Prime was just staring at Rennes, and Rennes also did the same and both of them are not attacking each other at all. It seems like Rennes is waiting for Prime to attack him first, as he was planning to counter-attack after.

Rennes's plan was to learn more about his opponent first before recklessly go in and make his move. Because once you know your opponent's strengths and weaknesses, then it will be easier since you will have the upper hand advantage.

”You can attack first,” said Prime with a smile.

”No, no, no, I'm a seeded player, so it would be wrong for me to attack you first,”

”Hmm, you sure?”

”Yes, so go ahead and come at me first,”

”Okay, then here I come,” said Prime.

Without delay, Prime charged at Rennes and begins kicking and punching Rennes, but surprisingly, Rennes was fast, so he was able to dodge most of Prime's attack easily.

”Hehe, looks like I was right after all, this guy is basically good for nothing except for his strength,” Rennes thought to himself.

The reason why ranged attack is Prime weakness is because he doesn't have any ranged attack abilities, therefore people can kite him easily.

Of course, it won't be a problem for Prime now since he's fast, but in the future, if someone is faster than him, then he will be in trouble as he can't get close enough to deal melee damage.

At the moment, Prime didn't use his full power yet as he was only playing around with Rennes. However, Rennes didn't believe Prime was playing around, but instead, he thought Prime was actually trying his best.

After a while, Prime pretended to be tired and started breathing heavily in front of Rennes.

Huff! Huff!

”You're certainly very strong, but unfortunately, you're too slow. Also, it's too bad that you already join the Blue Clan, otherwise I would have invited you to join my clan instead,” said Rennes disappointingly.

”Haha, thank you for your praise,”

”Meh, I thought HuskyBeast is a strong guy, but it turns out that he has a lot of weaknesses after all,” said someone in the crowd.

With that said, Rennes then points his finger at Prime and yelled, ”Lightning Sword!”. And right away, a sharp lightning sword appeared on Rennes's index finger and shot at Prime.

”Watch out!” yelled Nara worriedly.

Since Nara doesn't know how powerful Prime is, so she can't help but worried for him.

”Hehe, now is time to damage Rennes's pride,” Prime smirked.

At the moment, Prime didn't move nor he was planning to dodge the Lightning Sword, instead, he just lifted up his right hand and use his palm to block the Lightning Sword that was coming at him.

”What is he doing! Is he crazy?! Why is he not moving away,” said someone in the crowd.

”It's too fast anyway, so I don't think he can escape in time,”

”Look like he's planning to stop the Lightning Sword with just his palm, interesting,” said one of the guild envoys.
