Chapter 660 - Wanna Makeout? (1/2)
Nik had cleared his entry rights after a single visit into the Hellicarrier and when it was made sure that Banner would need a few days to track down Tesseract, he returned into the apartment with Natasha. She felt a little too tired after going through so much in a matter of two days and decided to sleep once she found Mary and Anna snoring softly. The same couldn't be said for Angela but her disruptive snores were contained as she covered the entire bed and hugged a rolled-up blanket. The strangest thing about Angela was that she only removed her headgear and other armors covering her waist, calves, and shoulders but kept the bikini on, making Nik wonder if she would ever take it off.
”But that brings me to the next question... she doesn't...” Nik didn't know how to delicately put it, ”use the bathroom.” Two days. He's been with Angela for two days but while he was looking for an answer, Lola's report came in and allowed Nik to understand the situation. Anything Angela ate wouldn't go through similar physical digestion that other humanoids go through. Instead, there's an apparatus in her body that converts all the nutrition to pure life force, always nourishing her and passively increasing Angela's physical quality. Nik had something similar but instead of a biological function, he could convert the food into physically nourishing energies after the use of his own reserves.
This was the difference. He had a skill, and she was simply born that way.
”Maybe I can use this as a template... it would greatly remove the time needed to constantly cultivate physical strength,” Nik thought internally. Now that Nik had left the Transmigration Paradise, the skills were simply a list for him. They defined his various abilities but did not enhance it as it did previously. So, any and every progress could only come from Nik's side and Transmigration Heart would only record such changes. Still, the list helped Nik to keep a track of things and since Transmigration Heart was a unique item, sometimes, Nik even learned from the definition of the abilities used by the new system.
”To modify your body at that level, you would require at least 500 pounds of mass further...” Lola stated, ”But most importantly, unlike the usual modification, you would need to structurally change your genetic scheme and match Angela's. I don't have enough data so there's a chance that you might completely look like Angela herself.”
”I know, I know,” Nik sighed as he teleported on an empty island he had been checking through the net. ”But changing genetics won't work unless I match with her bloodline and well... you can't—”
”Oh, I can,” Lola interrupted, ”But my abilities are restricted by your shackles. I'm the essence of Imperfect Chimera, your profession. So, it depends on your abilities to bring the best of me.”
”It sounds like a great musical,” Nik chuckled as he took a deep breath and mobilized his neutral energy. It was a slightly relieving feeling but Nik didn't focus on it. Instead, he carefully covered himself and started to perceive the natural forces of the world. He had an affinity with many elements. Some of them were shared with his girls, some of them were trained. Fire, water, darkness, light, spatial, earth, life... He could feel them all but he didn't care for them. Back then, Nik had tried to convert Life energy into the form of energy used by undeads but after a few months, he could only hypothesize that he wouldn't be able to gain an affinity with it unless he becomes a form of an undead, too. This made him realize that in some cases, bloodline mattered, too.
”But... I have tried to perceive temporal forces for a few days now and I'm nowhere near as I was at the beginning,” Nik felt stumped. He had a desire to grow and control Temporal Abilities, too. This wasn't because of the Dream Core and allowing the girls to live within it only. The scene of Brian stopping time around him was deeply imprinted and even if he couldn't reach the level of manipulating time as he wished, Nik clearly wanted to be able to defend against such methods. The world is too big and Nik had long admitted that there is a chance he might come against the strangest of abilities but that did not mean he didn't want to find a way to counter them.
From start, after gaining exotic escort, he felt that he could easily gain the affinity but not only was a woman with temporal affinity hard to come across, even he had changed. Sleep with women for the sake of pleasure. That was his most recent motto. Probably the fifth one.
'Huh, I have so many I'd soon forget the count... maybe I can make a list. First, F.u.c.k. Second, F.u.c.k Harder. Third, F.u.c.k even harder. Fourth, keep on F.u.c.k.i.n.g. Fifth, sleep for pleasure... just needs a bit of adjustment for the first four mottos,' he thought internally before refocusing on the task at hand.
”If I still can't feel the energy, I'll try and join Kamar-Taj. It's the only place I've found that has notes on Temporal manipulation but it was too vague,” Nik mumbled with a sigh.

Unlike what others would have thought, even with a son of a god, possibly, entering the planet with ill intentions, it did not disrupt Nik's day. Natasha had a classroom to teach, Anna, Cindy, and others had their routine, too. Even if Angela did not have anything to do due to her recent and sudden arrival on the planet, Nik didn't really care what she did in her free time. He, of course, couldn't just keep following her everywhere. After leaving her with a map and a detailed explanation of how to navigate it, Nik left with Anna and the others.
As they were dropped off at the school, the two were suddenly greeted by a cheerful voice.
”Hey! I didn't think you'd come today, too!” Cindy tapped on Nik's shoulder with a grin while restraining the urge to kiss him right there and then. ”Cindy!” Anna smiled widely and quickly hugged the girl.
”Shit, Minion. You know the new girl?” Flash looked over, closing his locker as Nik nodded with a smile while greeting a few other girls from his classroom who passed by him.
