Chapter 802 - Borders, Main Camp (1/2)
The multitude of players from everywhere in the Chinese plains, along with the crowd that went to the north washed off the effect of Happy’s fight against Class One Hall.
On the second day, Mu Clan’s people set out on their trip. The people from Chivalry Sect and Wind Assault Tower went along with them while keeping a distance from them, and their journey to the borders was lively.
They rushed along their journey for half a day, and finally, on the eve of the war, they saw the camps of the Chinese army set up dozens of miles away.
On their way there, the people already noticed the occasional cavaliers patrolling the area far away from the camp. In fact, there were even scouting teams around. These people were all built like giants, and their riding skills were great. Their gazes were sharp, and they were unlike those bandits in the Chinese plains. Their actions appeared to be the standard riding techniques, and they formed an invisible wave of pressure.
Besides that, regardless of the patrolling cavaliers or scouts, all of them were at least at Moksha Realm. Those who led the teams were usually at Inaction Realm. However, their equipment was nothing eye-catching. They kept a low profile and were hidden in their group.
When they saw martial artists head toward them, these patrolling cavaliers did not concern themselves with them, and they never meddled with their affairs.
They only cast a glance at Happy and his large group arriving in the area before they left and continued to do their tasks.
Happy and the rest were already used to seeing an increasing number of patrolling groups, and they just stared at the distant camp.
“There’s so many people around.”
“It’s good that there’s a lot of people around. They can serve to point us in the right direction instead of us running around like headless chickens. The number of people in the area is the highest. That should be the place where we receive our quests.”
Ever since the emperor made his announcement to the world, a lot of martial artists from the Chinese server arrived in this place, and an endless number of people moved through some camps in an endless stream. They received and triggered quests, and the sight was incredibly lively and majestic.
The group of people smiled.
“Hmm… let’s go over there.”
“Let’s see how we can go about this quest.”
The large group of people surged to the camp in a mighty wave.
“Damn it, where did all these players come from?”
“Don’t you know how to open your eyes to look?”
“Mu…”
Since war had not broken out, the armies on both sides were basically keeping themselves to their camps. Many people waited nearby for more quests, but they did not choose to leave.
Because of it, countless players from the Chinese plains gathered near the camp. In fact, some of the entrances to a few places had heavy traffic. No one moved in front of those entrances, and even after a long while, no one managed to move even the slightest bit.
When Happy and his group arrived at the place, the situation did not become any better.
Little North grabbed someone nearby to get some information, and from it, he learned that the emperor had set up six auxiliary camps and two main camps at the back of the military camp for the sake of gathering the martial artists from China together to form an effective fighting force.
The main camps were there to distribute fighting quests, which meant that aside from being in the midst of all the action in battles that were a little more intense, they will be tasked to harass their enemies’ flanks, go around and intercept their enemies’ food supplies, or be involved in fights that were of rather large scales.
These quests might be rather big quests that involved a lot of people, but they will happen at the most intense battlefields, which will involve the players in direct confrontations. This meant that this was the best chance to accumulate points. Usually, some of the players who were rather skilled will join these quests and fight against the Mongolian Army and the Mongolian elites. To balance the power between both armies, the system will also reduce or add to the fighting power between both camps.
The first main camp was in charge of distributing quests and assessing the players’ war achievements.
The second main camp was in charge of logistics. They were in charge of the exchange of the points from the war achievements as well as the mobilization of soldiers. Once the players had accumulated a certain degree of points, they can exchange their points with rewards or titles on the spot over here.
