113 Set Out on a Journey (2/2)
He had no other choice. He could not tell Thunderous Battle that he had played for three years and was already very familiar with the skills assassins preferred to use. If he did, Thunderous Battle might short-circuit like how computers would do when they received the wrong data.
Even though Thunderous Battle did not quite believe in his explanation, when he saw Happy shake him off and head to the Dirt Puppet nearby, he could only let it be.
”If you don't want to tell me, fine. Just don't get caught by me in the future…” While he grumbled under his breath, he returned to his territory and continued to train. However, he would occasionally stop and use a very strange and inquiring gaze to stare at Happy.
On the second day, Thunderous Battle logged in with his usual high spirits to continue training so that he could reach the tenth realm…
Happy used an entire night and afternoon to push his Flowering Knights' Song to the eighth realm before he stopped, then he bade farewell to Thunderous Battle.
”What?” Thunderous Battle's reaction was very extreme. He practically jumped out of his own battlezone.
While he avoided the Stone Giant's pursuit, he shouted at Happy, unable to understand him. ”Hey, why aren't you aiming to reach Grandmaster Realm for your high-tier martial art with me right now? Where are you going?”
”Well, my martial art level has already reached my target, so I intend to steal a tribute—”
”Steal a tribute?”
When Thunderous Battle heard that, his eyes went wide. He was not horrified, but delighted.
”Good going, boy! I knew you had your own thoughts, ideals, and ambitions. The emperor's birthday is three days later. Right now, most of the tributes are monopolized by the major sects and clans. With your abilities, it should not be difficult for you to attack a smaller force of power.” He paused for a moment before he mumbled in a tone that said he agreed wholeheartedly with Happy's plan, ”Not bad! You can train and get your levels up at any time you want. If you can get a tribute, it will be of great help to you. I won't keep you around.”
When he heard Thunderous Battle words, Happy instantly smiled.
”Big Brother Thunder, if you're interested, we can attack together. We could divide the spoils equally.”
”Me?” Thunderous Battle laughed wanly. ”Forget it. I've been able to tell over the past few days that while your realm is several grades lower than mine, and your body fortification technique is not as great as mine, I am not your opponent when it comes to one-to-one battles. I'll just stay here and bring my Infinite Sword Technique to Grandmaster Realm. I'll have a chance to get those things in the future.”
He might be of a big build, but he was a sensitive man. After the few days of associating with each other, he had come to realize some things.
”If that's the case, I won't force you. Big Brother Thunder, we'll part ways here. I hope to see you again in the future.”
Happy wrapped his fist in his palm and bade farewell.
Thunderous Battle smile fell away. He wrapped his fist in his palm and replied solemnly, ”Yeah, we'll meet again in the future!”
Once he finished speaking, Happy left the ancient tomb. He summoned his horse from the Horse Plate, snapped his reins, and rode to the government-made road to head to Xuzhou City at lightning speed.
Thunderous Battle was right.
There were only three days left until the emperor's birthday.
During them, the people from Forest Union would surge forward. The people from Six Doors, Western Depot, and Eastern Depot would also begin to investigate the whereabouts of the tributes. They would place bounties on the players with the tributes, and for a period of time, all the tributes would leave the city, because the NPCs would forcefully interfere! World of Martial Arts would then enter its bloodiest and most chaotic moment.
Happy brought out a map while riding. It displayed the area around Xuzhou City, and the red dots marking the spots where the tributes were located were incredibly clear.
”It's time to attack!”
He sighed softly, the sounds of it lost among the rapid hoofbeats of a horse galloping down the government-made road. They were as loud as thunder.
