81 Blockade (2/2)
”Set up a blockade, stop them from leaving the city!” an officer commanded the soldiers with hurry.
He had received word that their sniper had failed, and that the enemy was heading their way. Therefore, they were now hastily creating a barricade with military trucks and spike strips. Unless the enemy's vehicle could fly, there was no way that it could get through.
Initially, they thought their sniper could have stopped the enemy. After all, even if the personal armoured vehicle has bulletproof windshield, a few .50 caliber sniper bullets would surely be enough to destroy it. With the sniper's unparalleled accuracy, they presumed it might even kill the driver.
However, never in their dreams would they have thought that the full impact of a .50cal round caused such little damage to the vehicle's windshield. Instead, their sniper was the one who actually suffered an injury just minutes into the confrontation.
”Everyone get ready, they will be coming…ah?” The officer's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the oncoming figure.
From the appearance, he could tell it was the armoured vehicle that they were waiting for. But, the front of the vehicle had completely changed. Instead of headlights and a bumper, a plow now replaced the front.
Its new menacing appearance gave the officer an ominous feeling. He couldn't help but look back at the blockade they created. Although it looked sturdy enough to stop a semi trailer truck, he suddenly lost confidence.
Ignoring his order to stop the enemy, he quickly commanded the soldiers that were with him.
”Retreat! Get out of the way now!” he shouted with agitation as the Black Shark neared them.
”But sir, didn't you order us to stop them?” soldier said with confusion.
”Stop your mum! Just do as I say!” the officer quickly got out of the way, ignoring those who didn't listen to him.
*Vroom*
Seconds later, the Black Shark reached the barricade. It then rode through the spike strips as though they never existed in the first place.
As for the military trucks, they were sent airborne ten meters into air like toys. Due to the plow's angular design, the trucks were sent flying in different directions, increasing the havoc. The soldiers could do nothing but try their best to avoid getting crushed by the falling heaps of metal.
The Black Shark wasn't even fazed from the collision. It continued to speed through the street like a knife that had just pierced through butter.
