67 An Unexpected Harves (1/2)

Long Yu's figure blurred as he quickly arrived beside Xixi. He then snatched the thing out of her hands, afraid that it could be potentially dangerous.

”Xixi, stop randomly touching things, they might be dangerous!” He lightly flicked her forehead with his bare index finger.

”Uuuu…” the little girl rubbed her slightly reddened forehead while pouting her small lips.

At this moment, Long Yu suddenly heard a voice in his mind.

[Low level special item detected. Exchange for information?]

”What the….” This completely caught him off guard. It had been quite a while since the system gave him an exchange notification on its own accord.

'Exchange!' he replied to the system with anticipation. Considering the response of the system, the red object in his hand must be relatively valuable.

-Upon consumption, any and all wounds sustained by the user, unless absolutely fatal, will temporarily heal at an extremely rapid rate.

-Accelerates the growth of a user's special ability by a small margin. This effect will decrease with each consumption of a blood healing fruit.

'Good stuff!' Long Yu exclaimed in his mind.

This was an unexpected harvest. He initially only came for the mutant seed. Who knew the plant would also gift him with something valuable.

As he brought the red baby palm sized fruit closer to his face, he could smell a delicate yet stimulating aroma tickling his nose.

”Big brother, I smell another one nearby!” Xixi suddenly said. She had ran off again while Long Yu was distracted.

'This girl….' Long Yu was speechless. Whenever it came to food, her nose was even keener than an animal's.

After sweeping through the forest of leaves, the both of them ended up gathering a total of nine blood healing fruits.

During this process, they also found numerous transparent giant egg shaped sacks filled with dark red blood. These sacks were wrapped in a sticky substance similar to gel. Inside, one could see the outline of dried up corpses. Long Yu assumed that these things were probably the blood bags that the vampire plant used to recover itself.

It was a disturbing sight, so he quickly got rid of them before they could traumatise the little child any further.
