Long Yu slowly turned his head in the direction of the shriek. What he saw, sent shivers down his spine.

Its eyes were void of pupils and its mouth bloodied with dripping fresh blood. It was feasting on the woman's face with excitement, as if it was the only thing in the world, that would bring it pleasure.

Long Yu, who was standing there, dumbfounded, could only think of two words.

”Gene mutation,” he muttered.

”But that's impossible! It's too ear...” the words were stuck in his throat, when he saw the countdown timer he just pulled up.

To his horror, the countdown timer, which previously showed that he still had around 6 days left, a few hours ago, suddenly jumped to zero.

'System, what happened to the timer?' he asked in panic.
