Chapter 237 A New Purpose (1/2)

The next day.

Jessy and Adam woke up at 7:00 in the morning. They went downstairs and eat breakfast then Jessy brought Grandpa Waldo into her rose garden at the back of the house.

Jessy smiled proudly while admiring her roses, although Nana Aida is very busy with household chores she still finds time to water her plants.

”Okay, my dearest roses listen up, I want to introduce you to Grandpa Waldo here, from now on he will be the one to take care of you and water you every day,” she announced to the flowers about their new caretaker.

Grandpa Waldo smiled at the roses. ”Yeah, from now on I will take care of all the beautiful flowers in this garden on behalf of Jessy,” he said to the flowers.

Jessy glanced at the two boys, Caden and Adam were having fun in the swing, she turns her attention to the old man beside her. ”Not much to do in my garden Grandpa except to pull out the weeds that are growing in the ground around the plants then water them daily if there is no rain, then if you want—you can talk to them. I find talking to plants relaxing, you can try it. I suggest that you only attend to the plants during early morning and late afternoon when the sun is no longer visible up in the sky,” Jessy suggested.

”Okay, no problem, child,” Grandpa Waldo replied, he looked at the vacant space near the rose garden. ”Can I also grow some vegetables in that area over there? I want to cultivate that area for a vegetable garden,” he said pointing at the area nearby.

Jessy nodded her head. ”Yeah, why not, Nana Aida would love to cook fresh ingredients from the vegetable garden,” she responded.

”Thank you, child, for giving my life a new purpose,” Grandpa Waldo got tears in his eyes.

Jessy smiled kindly at the old man. ”Grandpa you're home now, and beginning today we are going to be your family, and here, you will have a peace of mind and a sense of belongingness,” she rubbed his back as a sign of affection.

”You and Adam have a kind soul, I'm very lucky to meet you kids in this lifetime,” Grandpa Waldo uttered the words with heartfelt sincerity gleaming in his eyes.

Jessy smiled and continue to listen to Grandpa Waldo's chattering about the types of vegetables that he's planning to grow in the garden.

One hour later.

Time for Adam, Jessy, and Caden to go back to the city.

After packing their things and putting their baggage in the trunk they get into the car and waved goodbye to Nana Aida and Grandpa Waldo.

”Bye Nana Aida and Grandpa Waldo!” Jessy, Adam, and Caden said in chorus.

”Goodbye kids, see you soon!” Nana Aida and Grand Waldo said aloud to the moving car.

The car was now exiting the tall gate and was moving into the main highway.

After thirty minutes of traveling, Adam instructed Caden to find a secluded area near the highway that was surrounded by big trees and dense bushes.

”Why?” Caden asked.

”Just find one, we need to hurry back because we still have an appointment this afternoon,” he explained.

”Ah okay,” Caden finally realized why.

”And I also need to go back to Facility quickly,” Jessy said.

A few minutes later, they found the perfect place a few meters away from the highway and hidden from anyone's view.

”I guess I have to say bye now, guys,” Jessy said. ”Closed your eyes first, Caden,” she ordered.

”Huh?” Caden's said frowning, he can't understand why would he need to close his eyes?

Adam chuckled and freeze Caden instantly.

Jessy and Adam looked into each other's eyes and they embraced each other, then their lips locked, after a few minutes of intense passionate kissing their lips parted.

”Time to go now, Adam, I love you!” Jessy murmured.
