Chapter 218 Rescue & Kill (1/2)

Queen Margaret understood very well Jessy's reasoning. Lately, she noticed that there are no major attacks on them from the governments' side. She knew that it would be impossible to hide the Facility's existence from the government's watchful eyes forever, sooner or later they will know about the Facility, currently, their most valuable shields are the 5k human workers working in the dome in the upper side of the Facility. Those human shields can prevent government's attacks but she's not sure how long it will last, worst come to worst, they are all ready to die, they were already heading extinction anyway. But it would be much better if the government can accept the ex-vampires living in the Habitat openly, they are willing to live in peace among humans and adopt their ways if given the chance.

”Okay, I am willing to erase their memories once they are already rescued. I will tell my husband about your discovery so that he and his men can help you rescue the mortals and kill all the savage vampires so that this won't ever happen again,” the queen said.

Jessy felt relieved that the queen is willing to erase the unpleasant memories of the mortals, the rest will be easy. ”Once we rescued the mortals, we have to keep them here in the Facility for a while and nourished them back to health, we can get human foods from the canteen to feed them, then erased their memories and finally released them back to their families...”

”Okay, I agree to all your plan, child. I will tell my husband right away so that he and his men can make preparations. When are you planning to rescue the mortals and attack the savages hideout?” asked the queen.

Jessy was thinking, if the king and his men were not ready yet tonight, they will attack the cave tomorrow night. ”The soonest possible time, Mother. If they can accompany me tonight after I am done with my blood transfusion, that would be much better. We can no longer delay the rescue, I'm afraid some mortals might die soon. They already suffered enough—it's about time they have to be rescued from their cages, I just can't imagine the agony their loved ones and relatives have been going through until now, they must be thinking that their missing relatives have already died. It's a torture for both parties,” she said sadly.

Queen Margaret patted Jessy's arms. ”Trust me, I understood your concern towards the mortals, child. You can go back now to the clinic. I will make sure my husband and his men will be ready for tonight's mission.”

”Thank you, Mother, I will go now,” said Jessy. She rose to her feet and exited the study room.

Before she will go back to the clinic and resume blood transfusion, she will drop by at Hannah's room first.

As usual, the pregnant woman was sewing clothes for her baby when she entered the room, ”Hi Hannah, how are you and the baby?” she asked in greetings.

”My baby and I are doing fine, Jess, thanks for asking. I already sewed a total of six clothes for my baby,” she said smiling.

Jessy inspected the baby clothes one by one. ”Wow, they're so cute!” she observed. ”How about you and Zain? How is he?”

Hannah smiled brightly at her friend, her face was radiating happiness. ”We're good. He's doing well, he no longer hurts me physically, he starts talking to me in a friendly way. Our relationship nowadays is way much better compared to the previous months. I am excited for the day that he will finally acknowledge me as the mother of his child, although I can't expect him to love me right away. But at least—any little kindness he showered on me is a positive sign that he's heading towards emotional and mental recovery. I am looking forward to seeing a new Zain in the days to come,” she said, her voice high with optimism.

Jessy smiled with gladness, loving the happiness that was emanating from Hannah's face. ”I see...I'm happy for you my friend, keep sewing baby clothes 'coz you seem to be enjoying it.”

Hannah beamed. ”I do!”

”I'm going back now to the clinic, you take care of yourself, Hannah,” she muttered and walked towards the door.

”Take care, Jess. Thanks for dropping by, have a nice day ahead!”
