Chapter 159 Save The Girl! (1/2)
Captain Mercado was also thinking of the same. It would be stupid if the leader of the kidnapper hasn't thought of the same plan. Well, if he didn't then it will be to his advantage.
It would be a waste of human life and resources if they will be slaughtered tonight.
”I want you to put a safe distance away from the area, do not come to the area within close proximity, they might kill the girl if they began to panic, our priority is to save the girl first before we hunt them down. I'm thinking of the girl's safety, catching the kidnappers and getting the money back is not our priority...it's saving the girl's life that is our top mission here,” Captain Mercado said.
”So, what's the plan---Sir?” asked Arnold.
”You and your men will park on a standby mode a few miles away from the area of responsibility. Then after I got the girl and get out of the area that will be the time to chase the kidnappers. We must secure the girls safety first, we must let the kidnappers believe that we are sincere in honoring the end of the bargain, if they will see lots of intruders tonight they might get angry and put a bullet in our heads, they must not know of your existence or else me and my escorts will be slaughtered like pigs tonight,” Captain Mercado said.
”So... we will just wait for you half a mile from the location? Is that what you mean, Sir?”
”Yes, do not come close to the area at all, wait for our vehicle to get out of the area first, that means we already have the girl with us safely, but just in case thirty to forty-five minutes passed and you still have not seen our vehicle emerging from the area then something surely goes wrong inside the location, that is the only time you and your men can approach the area and investigate,” Captain Mercado said. ”Are we clear, Arnold?”
”Okay, got it, Sir!” Arnold responded.
”Good,” the captain said. ”Now let's wait for the text message and start praying for our safety and success tonight,” he said.
Captain Mercado went to Colonel Brown's office to get the attache case containing the ransom money.
When he went inside the colonel's office and initiated the hand salute, he found the colonel staring at the opened attache case filled with crisp dollar bills.
The colonel shuts off the lid of the attache case and stared at Captain Mercado's face. ”Are you ready for tonight?”
”Yes, Sir! Is there already a confirmation that it will happen tonight?” he asked.
”Yes. I received a text message from my friend five minutes ago, the kidnappers will send the location's address anytime soon, you and your men will know the location once I received the text message,” Colonel Brown said.
”Okay, Sir,” he said.
”My friend is fearful for his daughter's safety right now...Captain make sure you will be able to rescue the girl alive, that's an order!” Colonel Brown said.
”I will do my best, Sir!” Captain Mercado replied.
They stared at each other's faces.
They both know, in operation like this when a huge amount of money is involved and an innocent person's life is at stake...anything can go wrong.
They were shrouded with heavy silence waiting for the text message.

Jessy was still lying in the clinic's bed for the last round of blood transfusion for tonight. She was able to do a total of five transfusions today, and she was looking forward to having a long rest in her bed and sleep all night long.
Twenty minutes later.
The blood transfusion was done.
”Good night, Doc!” she said.
”Good night, Jess!” the doctor replied.
”See you tomorrow!” Jessy said and exited the clinic.
She teleported right into her room and she jumped into her bed and closed her eyes not bothering to change into her pajama, she feels so sleepy!
She shuts off her eyes waiting for sleep to take over her consciousness.
Then all of a sudden the smiling photos of those kidnap victims appeared in her mind.
Dang!
