Chapter 138 Warplanes (2/2)
Jessy was hovering in the air following the car on the busy highway.
The travel went smoothly, the sky was clear with thousands of stars illuminating the heavens above. It's a full moon tonight.
One hour later, the military camp was looming nearby, they finally arrived at their destination. The Captain showed his gate pass to the personnel guarding the entrance. The vehicle was allowed to enter the camp and the captain drives the car to the parking area. Captain Mercado exited the car and entered the camp and located Colonel Brown's office on the second floor. He found his superior looking at some files on his table.
Colonel Brown raised his head to acknowledge his subordinate's arrival.
Captain Mercado raised his hand in his head for the customary hand salute.
Colonel Brown nods his head pointing at the chair for the Captain to sit down.
Captain Mercado sat on the chair facing the colonel.
The Colonel starts talking.”Before Major Miller died, he called me and we are discussing his request for warplanes to bomb the vampire's hideout. He mentioned to me that you were the one in charge in that operation but you failed a few times because of a certain powerful crossbreed with extraordinary powers creating havoc in your plans, is it true?”
”Yes Sir, everything Major Miller told you is true. On the night that we were about to attack the Facility that housed the remaining vampire... the crossbreed appeared in our campsite and stole our bomb launchers and weapons and hides them away.”
”So, what this crossbreed can do?” he asked.
”She can do superheroes stuff like in movies, Sir. She can teleport, moves fast, floats in the air, have commands on winds, water, fire and what else? I still have no idea about the full scale of her power,” Captain Mercado elaborated.
”I see, she's an interesting being, I'd never known anyone with the same powers like hers. When you say she's a crossbreed...she's an offspring of a human and a vampire couple? Am I correct?”
Captain Mercado nodded his head in affirmation. ”Yes, that's correct, Sir.”
”So, Captain, what do you think of the late Major Miller's suggestion? Should we bomb the Facility where the vampires were hiding by using warplanes?”
Captain Mercado shook his head vigorously. ”No Sir! We can't do that, in case you don't know, there were 5k human workers in the surface of the Facility, they grow vegetables, herbs and spices and supplied it to the supermarkets. Below the ground is where the vampires were hiding, all these times the vampires were shielding themselves with human workers, we just can't bomb the entire area without harming the human workers as well, attacking the vampires' hideout needs careful planning...”
