Chapter 122 Not Everyone Can Be Happy (1/2)

Jessy landed in her room.

She took a quick shower and went to the Queen's study room to see her mother-in-law.

”I'm here, Mother!” she went inside without knocking since the door was slightly open.

The Queen put down the book she was reading in the center table. ”So, how's it going, Jessy? How does it feel to see my son again and reunited with him?” She saw the sparkle on the younger woman's eyes, which means Jessy's reunion with her son is a big success. She's feeling relieved that they are finally on good terms again, which means the prophecy will proceed as plan. She no longer has to worry about the future, it looks promising.

Jessy was all smile, the happiness was plastered all over her face. ”Adam and I are good, we're happy. Everything is good between us, we already have patched up our differences, Mother,” she shared the good news.

”That's good! I'm happy for the two of you, after being separated by me, you two deserved to be happy and be together for the rest of your lives,” said the Queen sincerely.

Jessy thought that for the first time in her life she and the Queen were both on the same page now, no more quarreling and no more animosity between them. It's a good feeling to have when everything just fits perfectly at all angles. She will be sharing the news with her mother and father soon, they will be happy for her for sure.

She was about to get out of the room when she remembered one thing that she needed to tell the Queen.

”Mother, I just want to bring to your attention that Zain slap Hannah hard the other day and the poor woman landed on the floor,” she shared the bad news.

The Queen gasp. ”Oh no! What happened to Hannah and the baby? Are they alright?”

”She is alright and the baby as well, I prohibited her to visit Zain again unless your son will calm down. I just want to protect Hannah and the baby,” Jessy said.

”You did the right thing, Jess.” The Queen released a sigh, deep sadness and sorrow for her eldest son now marred her face. She was troubled by Zain's descend into madness, being his mother she doesn't want to see him suffer but she has no choice either if Zain won't help himself then who can help him save himself from drowning in his ocean of anger and desolation. He alienated himself from everyone else, although what he felt right now is justified, he just feels cheated by everyone and she knows that she was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If some people are happy there is always somebody who is suffering, not everyone can be happy at the same time.

Jessy saw the distress on the Queen's face, she stood up ready to leave the room. ”I'm going now to the clinic mother to resume the blood transfusion.”

”Okay, go ahead child,” the Queen smiled a little and resumed reading the book she picked up from the center table although her mind was already preoccupied in trying to find ways on how to help his eldest son in coping with everything.

Jessy exited the study room and made a turn towards Hannah's room.
