Chapter 26 Tormented (2/2)
”Yes, Nana,” she answered flatly.
The older woman sighed. ”I think it's good for both of you...”
She no longer utters a single word.
Nana Aida saw the vast amount of pain in her eyes. ”Life must go on girl,” she said, patting her on the head.
”How is he doing, Nana? Did you see him?” she finally said.
”No. He just said that he will no longer be eating meals with us. That he will always stay in his room. He said that you two have broken up, so I did not ask for more. I respect his wishes,” said Nana Aida.
Jess' closed her eyes, trying to stop the fresh tears from falling.
She found it hard to move on...her heart was simply refusing to move on!

~Two Weeks Gone Fast~
Adam has been self-imposing isolation in his room. He hides himself in his room the whole day and visits Jessy on her room every night as soon as she turn off her light, he will sneak inside her room passing through the wall, unnoticed by her. She's been crying every night. Her sobbing was like daggers stabbing his tormented heart, carving fresh pain each and every day.
He would like to cradle her in his embrace, but he prevents himself from doing so. She won't be able to forget him easily if she keeps seeing him. So he has to keep his distance, to allow her to move on easy.
He never expected that breaking up with Jess can be so painful.
Sure~he would immerse himself in playing video games with his online friends all day long. But no matter what he does, his mind always come back to her. She's like a shadow always hovering at the back of her mind.
He would always watch her photos in her smartphone, missing her bright smile, the smell of her hair, missing her giggles and her laughter. He often watched her swimming alone from afar, attaining to her garden of roses and swinging alone with his hand-made birthday present for her.
He's thoroughly tormented and it's slowly killing him inside. He thought that he could wipe away his guilt by breaking up with her, but the guilt never goes away, only the pain remains.
It was already 8:00 o'clock in the evening. Anytime soon it will be Jess' bedtime. Time for his night visit. He actually looks forwards with his night visits in her room, it somehow makes him feel alive and much closer to her.
The moment the time reaches 11:00 o'clock, he gets ready to enters her room.
He was surprised and alarmed when he found out that she was not in her room, her bed is empty!
Jessy is missing!
He hurriedly went downstairs and ask Nana of Jess' whereabouts.
The older woman was also surprised and felt worried. ”She was eating dinner with me earlier. I thought she already went upstairs to her room,” she said in an anxious tone.
”Where could she be?” he was getting worried about her. ”I will search for her Nana, please don't worry, okay? I will call you if I already found her,” he hurriedly goes outside of the mansion and starts looking for her in the lake.
She's not in the lake, not in her rose garden either, nor in the swing area.
There is one place left to check and that is the woods.
He teleported himself quickly into the woods.
There she is...
Sitting alone in one of the benches near the middle of the clearing. Her back facing his. He felt relieved.
”Jess...” He calls her name softly.
”Y-you're here?” she quickly glanced at him. She misses him so much, she misses his voice.
”Am worried about you, please, let's go home now.” He walks towards her.
Her face is full of sadness, she looked into his eyes. ”Adam, I can't go on like this. I can't move on. I can't forget you. I can't forget us!” her anguished was plastered in her face in full force.
”Please try harder, Jess,” he pleaded.
”No! I can't. But there is only one way I can forget you...” She wanted badly to be released from this excruciating pain she experienced right now.
”H-how?” he asked.
”Erase my memory of us. Remove all traces of our happy memories from my brain. It's the only way to forget you,” she said with a tone of finality in her voice.
He stiffened upon hearing the words she just said.
