Chapter 25 Adam Is Back! (2/2)

She wanted to kiss and hug him so badly because she misses him very much...but there's something wrong with him...he did not even bother to look at her.

She cleared the lump in her throat. ”Hmm, hey, you're back!”

”Hello...Jess,” he said, he quickly glanced at her, then he brought back his attention to his video game.

As if she did not exist. As if she's a stranger. Jessy bit her lower lip.

'What a cold reception,' she thought to herself.

She stood up and hug him from behind, she took off his headphones, kiss his cheek and whispered on his ears...”I miss you so much, Adam”... with all the emotion she could muster.

He did not reply, nor even look at her. He just put back his headphones on his ears and continue playing.

A few seconds later, he finally looked at her. ”Talk to you later, Jess.” He said~dismissing her.

Her heart stopped beating...Oh, God!

Jess' heart at that point was already bleeding with his cold treatment. ”Fine...”

She stood up and with heavy steps walked out from his door, tears were already streaming in her face, 'he did not miss me at all' she painfully said to herself.

Jessy went to her room and cried a river in her bed, soaking her pillows, she was very upset with the sudden change of his behavior. Adam will always stop his gaming every time she talked to him, but a few minutes ago, he chose his game over her, as if her mere presence is a distraction itself. He also did not return her kiss and hug, that completely baffled her. Adam was always been a touchy-freely kind of guy towards her, the day won't be complete if he can't kiss or touch her. But the guy inside Adams' room earlier was very cold, very distant, he seemed to act like a complete stranger to her.

She continued her crying, she was half expecting he will burst inside her room at any moment and apologize for his weird behavior.

But her tears already stopped and dried, but he never comes.

She decided to go downstairs and ease her grief away in the swing.

Before she went down, she went to his room to check on him again and tried to open the door, but it was locked inside. He is locking his door! Why oh why? Ever since they entered into a romantic relationship together, he never locked his door, she can enter his room freely anytime she wants.

F*ck! What is going on!?

She gritted her teeth, so totally annoyed now. She went downstairs and went to visit her garden. She did not bother to greet her flowers, she obviously had a bad morning. She did not even water her plants, she felt distraught.

Jessy hops in the swing. She keeps swinging herself for one full hour, he did not bother to come down to join her.

Still pissed and extremely annoyed, she ran towards the lake and jump into the water, hoping the water can wipe away her anger. She spent another full hour swimming in the lake, while constantly looking at his window, she was tentatively thinking of throwing stones at his window but she decided against it in the last minute.

Frustrated, she stopped swimming and went upstairs, she halted outside his door and tried to open it again, it's still locked inside! What the hell?! Out of anger, she kicked his door hard...ouch! she thinks her foot was broken. She continues to her room, limping.

Oh God, she thinks she's gonna die! Her eyes waters again, tears keep falling, she thinks if she will not stop crying she will drown on her own sorrows.

They used to be a pea in the pod, glued to each other almost every minute of the day, they were partners in crimes, they were inseparable. It's all clear now, he was keeping his distance away from her and he's totally ignoring her. Is he punishing her for something she did not commit? What wrong did she do this time?

What's so fucking wrong with him?

When she glanced at her alarm clock, it was already 12:00 noon, time for lunch. She composed herself, her uncombed long black hair was strewn all across her face in haphazard manner, she did not bother with her appearance, she does not care if she looks like Samara Morgan from the movie Ring. Her eyes were swollen from crying. Her uncombed hair will surely cover her face so that Nana Aida won't see her bloated eyelids.

She went downstairs and entered the dining table, Nana Aida and Adam were already there. She sat down on her chair quietly, not even looking at Adam.

”OMG! You look awful-Jess!” Nana Aida exclaimed at her, upon seeing her miserable appearance.

Jessy flinched.

”A-are you crying?” the older woman tried to peek into the younger woman's face.

Jessy ignored her Nana's inquiries, she continued slicing the pork steak in her plate, she deliberately slices the pork hard and purposely sent it flying towards Adams' direction aiming for his face, which he avoided easily. 'Asshole!' she screamed at him in silence.

She can't take it anymore, she has no appetite for eating. She suddenly stood up and left the dining table, head down...on the way, she bumped on the door hitting her forehead, Ouch! ”F*ck!” she yelled and continue on her way.

Nana Aida and Adam looked at each other in bewilderment...

”What's wrong with her?” asked Nana Aida.

Adam did not reply, he kept his silence.

”Are you two having lovers quarrel?” she continues to asked.

”Don't worry Nana, I will fix this mess myself,” he said. He left the dining room.

He went straight into Jess' room. He tried to open it, it's locked inside. He knocked and knocked and calls her name, yet she still won't open the door.

He decided to use his power and went inside her room by passing through the wall.

He saw her, standing on her window, both shoulders slumped down. He sighed.

”Jess, we need to talk,” he said softly.

”Go away!” her voice sounded so hollow.

She walks towards her bed like a zombie.

”Jess, I think we need to break up,” he said casually, his voice was low, she almost did not hear it.

But she did hear it!

In Jess' ears, it sounded like a time bomb detonated inside her ears, it exploded throughout her body and the splinters reached her heart, slicing her heart into a minuscule pieces....she had a hard time breathing, she saw thousands of black dots swimming in her vision. She tried to count them all but she can no longer go on, then she collapsed on her bed.

She fainted!
