Chapter 1256: It’s Just Me (1/2)

Even though Jiang Fei had already been giving “leeway” to his enemies, the American and European pilots weren’t able to play in the game at all. In just ten minutes, all 754 fighter jets had been shot down!

“Dammit!” the President of the United States of America roared as he slammed his palms against the mahogany table in the oval room. The other great men of power were sitting in the same room sulking and frowning over the same matter. They had arranged the attack formations in three waves. The first 754 fighter jets were just the first wave and they had lost every single bird in the air in just ten minutes. The second and third waves of attack were canceled immediately to prevent further loss.

“Activate all available radar systems! I do not believe we cannot track them down!” the President ordered.

While the western countries were panicking over this matter, the Chinese leaders were also sitting in the forbidden city’s meeting room to discuss about this matter. Even though they were not attacked, the invasion of a hostile alien species was not something to be taken lightly. Any foreign threat, especially when it was of alien origin, was not something that one would have had a contingency plan made for. If the aliens were done with America and Europe, would they come for China? Would they be left alone?

Still, even though the aliens were clearly hostile toward Americans and Europeans, the Chinese military was ordered not to take any action against them. They had first-hand seen how they attacked. If the American and European’s coalition army could not hold their own, what about China?

After much stress and frustration, every leader of China was relieved when Jiang Fei himself appeared in the military installation close to the capital of China.

With Braveheart fully under his command, Jiang Fei was able to utilize its teleportation function whenever he felt like it. Instead of troubling Ariel every now and then, all he needed to do now was call for 0541 and have him teleport him anywhere in the world faster and with great efficiency.

“Mr. Jiang. This is military grounds. Civilians are not to proceed further,” said a Major. It was a coincidence that he knew Jiang Fei.

“You know who I am? Good. Please tell your superiors that I am here,” said Jiang Fei. To be fair, he was not interested in following the formalities. If he were to barge in, no one in the facility would be able to stop him. Even so, since a Major had purposely come up to him, it was best to not make any trouble and play along nicely.

“Sure. Wait here for a bit, if you don’t mind,” said the Major as he ran across the installation to inform his superior about Jiang Fei’s arrival. Five minutes later, the Major returned to the entrance.

“Please come in. The others are already waiting eagerly for you,” said the Major.

When news about Jiang Fei’s arrival reached the ears of the higher-ups, the entire chain of command was relieved. They were seeking explanation for the unknown alien drones. Jiang Fei was perhaps the only person they knew who could shed some light on the matter since he was the person who had access to some of the alien technology. Although it was not as advanced as the drones, it was still better than the best Earth-base tech.

With that thought in mind, they wanted no one else but Jiang Fei to collaborate with in order to protect China. Even if he could not provide more advanced tech, he still had the backing of the martial art alliance. Perhaps they wouldn’t sit idly by and let the aliens attack their homeland. They would be the last line of defense if the military was completely useless against the aliens.

“Jiang Fei! You don’t know how relieved I am to see you again! We have been trying to contact you but alas, we got nothing!” said Yang Xiao. He was ranked the highest in the military chain of command. When China was attacked by America and Europe, they had already tried contacting Jiang Fei but failed as he was captured in Braveheart by Akatziris, and the martial artists had not been cooperative with the military.
