Chapter 1042: Girls Were Born Liars… (1/2)
“Of course! I’m really smart, you know!” Miluya pumped up her chest, then held onto Jiang Fei’s hand and ran northwest.
“Hey! Are you sure you remember the way?” Jiang Fei asked doubtfully. The both of them had been trekking for almost an hour, but they were still trapped in the endless Gobi Desert. Nothing had changed. The only thing that reassured Jiang Fei was that they did not see the withered pine tree anymore, which meant that they were not walking in circles, at least.
“Big brother, you have to believe in Miluya!” Miluya said with a serious face.
“Okay…” Jiang Fei nodded. He had no other choice anyway.
After they continued for another fifteen minutes or so, something new finally appeared before their eyes.
It was the ruins of a palace. From the ruins, one could vaguely tell that the palace was once magnificent. Now, however, only broken walls and scattered gravel remained.
“Where is this?” Jiang Fei asked curiously.
“This is the altar of Al’Akir the Windlord,” Miluya explained as she dragged Jiang Fei toward the ruins.
“What happened here? Why is it so run down?” Jiang Fei was confused. This place looked like it had been abandoned for thousands of years.
“After Al’Akir was killed by King Zhou of Shang, his servants dispersed. So, the altar was naturally abandoned. After thousands of years, its structure naturally deteriorated and it collapsed.” Although Miluya was young, she was like a small encyclopedia.
“I see…” Jiang Fei nodded. When he first came into contact with Quests related to the War of the Heavens, the remnants of Wu Geng’s soul had mentioned this. A long time ago, King Zhou of Shang, the Lord of the Human Race, dominated the world. No Ancient God could stop him, and countless Ancient Gods died under his hands!
“Okay! We’re here!” Miluya had brought Jiang Fei inside the abandoned palace. Although it did not have a roof, the walls were still standing.
“What are we doing here?” Jiang Fei asked, confused.
“Big brother, you’re very strong. Can you help to clean this place up?” Miluya asked sweetly as she tugged Jiang Fei’s arm.
“Okay.” Jiang Fei nodded. Although he did not know what Miluya was trying to do, he knew that she would not ask him to clean the place up for no reason.
Even without the additional attributes from the Cauldron of Strength, Jiang Fei still had a lot of Strength. So, moving some gravel and rubble was not a big deal for him.
About an hour later, the broken bricks and tiles in the palace were completely cleaned up. Although the palace was still dilapidated, it became a lot cleaner.
“Miluya! Luyaluyaluya!” It seemed like there was a strange meaning behind the little loli’s name. It was both her catchphrase when she was happy and a certain magical spell.
Whoosh…
With Miluya’s spell, a gentle breeze blew through. Although the breeze was not damaging in any way, all the stone powder and dust in the palace were blown out.
“This is…” After the dust cleared, Jiang Fei discovered something new about the palace. There was a Teleportation Point right in the center of the palace!
The magical rune of this Teleportation Point was still shining with a faint blue light. Clearly, although the Windlord’s palace had been abandoned for thousands of years, this Teleportation Point was still in good condition!
“Where does this Teleportation Point lead to?” Jiang Fei asked curiously.
“I don’t know! Big brother, let’s go and explore!” Miluya shook her head, then looked at Jiang Fei with her big, puppy eyes.
