Chapter 917 - Move Forward! Young Man! (1/2)

After accepting the quest, Jiang Fei checked the details of the quest. This quest was unlike the others Jiang Fei was used to. It was an open-ended quest.

Open-ended quests were less strict in terms of sharing rewards. It did not require other players to form a group with Jiang Fei. As long as one was on the same map and contributed to the quest, one would be able to earn the associated rewards.

Most open-ended quests were large in scale. As there were limitations as to how many members each group could have, the system would issue such quests to allow large numbers of players to participate in a specific quest.

The Dragon Slaying Battle quest was very simple, which only required Jiang Fei to work with the Nephilim army to destroy all of the Dragon race's members who entered the Dark Faction's territory. Players would be able to earn rewards based on their level of contribution in the quest. Although Jiang Fei was the one who accepted the quest, his main purpose was only to appear on the battlefield. In terms of rewards, he would earn the same ratio of rewards based on his own contribution.

”Ahh! It seems that the rewards I can earn have decreased due to my previous poor record.” Jiang Fei sighed. Jiang Fei used to earn much better rewards due to his higher Reputation points. However, since he had failed to complete the Nephilim King's previous quest, he would not be able to earn any additional rewards for the current quest.

Despite not having additional rewards, Jiang Fei was still much more capable of killing his enemies than other players. If Jiang Fei went all out in killing the Dragon race's members, he would earn a significant amount of Experience points and equipment.

”Alright! Off you go! I hope you won't let me down this time!” Although the Nephilim King did not criticize Jiang Fei out of respect for Ou Yezi, he still gave Jiang Fei a fair warning.

”Don't worry, your highness. I won't let you down again!” Jiang Fei nodded. Since there was not much going on in the real world, Jiang Fei would not log out of the game without prior notice.

After bidding farewell to Augustus and returning to the Demon Dragon Fortress, Jiang Fei discussed with Lady Casanova about the quest. After all, Seven Stars Warrior and the others were not online. So, Jiang Fei could only reach out to Lady Casanova.

”I think we should share the rewards with the other guilds so that they could help lift some of the burdens off of our shoulders. After all, the Dragon race is not easy to defeat!” Lady Casanova said after some thought.

”Yeah! I think so too!” Jiang Fei nodded. Lady Casanova had spoken his mind. The Dragon race was full of adult Dragons which were at least ranked at Lord or above. Although other players supported Jiang Fei, he still felt immensely pressured.

”Since you agree with my idea, leave the rest to me!” Lady Casanova said when Jiang Fei expressed that he agreed with her idea. She took on the responsibility of reaching out to the other guilds to establish a better relationship with these guilds. After all, the Empyreal Dragon had been hoarding too much of the benefits.

”Alright! Do as you see fit.” Jiang Fei nodded. Since Lady Casanova was willing to take on the responsibility on her own, Jiang Fei naturally obliged.

After making sure everything was properly arranged, Jiang Fei was left with not much else to do. Although he had accepted the quest to fight against the Dragon race, he and the other players would still have to wait for the Nephilim and Oceanic race to take action first.

Jiang Fei then spent the remaining time with Sylphy and the other ladies before logging off at 6 o'clock in the morning. Although Jiang Fei initially could not understand why Dawnlight was set to be accessible only at night, he eventually found out that the game was designed by the military to develop man-made souls. After all, the game was not created to make money. The military had set a time limitation to make it easier for them to monitor the progress of their experimental software.

After Jiang Fei logged out of the game, 0541 suddenly spoke to him.

”Captain…” 0541 sounded hesitant.

”What's the matter?” Jiang Fei asked confusedly.
